- Rumple & Belle's scene in OUAT S2E11: The Outsider.
What's so, so powerful about this scene was the handing of the shotgun to Belle, because ultimately, it was THAT same shotgun that brought to her loss of memory. So does it mean the cause of Rumple's demise is all due to his own doings? But weren't his intentions were just to protect his loved ones?
And its also good to bear in mind that the promise that Belle ask upon Rumple was never fulfilled (sort of).
So, much drama!

His "no" was heartbreaking. It was like he was saying "do you really think I'm still that person?!"
I love how Rumple has to explain the modern world to Belle. The fact that he takes the time to explain everything instead of using it to trick her like he probably would with everyone else proves that he cares for her, in a way
So true!
Modern? Guns have been around for 100s of years. Hook knew how to use it and aim so well that he only wounded Belle rather then out right kill her. So there must have been guns in the Enchanted Forest as well. So Belle ought to have know how to use it.
One of my favorite Rumbelle moments and that's saying something. It is one of the last times they are truthful about their emotions for a while. I love how desperate Rumple is. And he gets Belle to understand and accept that desperation as valid. He's showing her the beast. Yay!
They fight just like a normal couple.

The thought of belle shooting a gun is so strange
What's funny is Hook takes that same gun from her and shoots her with it.

I know they've been having issues, but I really, really want them to work them out. Rumple needs someone to love him, and for him to love. And Belle does too.
Coral Roper yeah and she really needs to stop 'whipping him so much! She needs to acept him for who he is the good and the bad cos that's the only way he's going to heal!

i think this is the obligatory gun safety episode.
I forgot about this scene. An interesting side of Rumple, seeing him so frantic and ticked off at the same time. He's torn between the hatred at Hook for what he did and wanting to simmer down for the woman he loves. Also I find it's a little bit funny at the end when Belle asks him to promise he's just going to get the shawl back... and he just storms out without saying anything. Usually he has a bad habit of skirting around the truth in moments like that, but this time you could see the wheels turning in his head, as if he meant to say, "I can't promise you a darn thing." Lol.

I think you're spot on. That's how Charming got Snow's memory back, so I wouldn't be surprised if it worked the same way.

Something tells me that in order for Belle to get her memory back, Rumple has to get her to fall in love with him as Lacey and then give her True Love's kiss and then they will be reunited. Anyone else have ideas? I'd love to hear them :)
Robert Carlyle is the greatest actor in the cast, by a long shot, no other actor living or dead could've played him better

Did anybody else get really frustrated with Belle sometimes? Just from a realistic standpoint, this pirate just attacked you and wants to kill the person you love. This is NOT the time to start arguing about morality! Let Rumple handle the damn problem!

I believe that is true. But I think there is more to it than that. I suspect he will have to commit some kind of great sacrifice or be humiliated. She may say the same words Milah had said " I never loved you" or some variation of "no on can ever love you" and Rumple (who would have killed at this point) will forgive her and it will be a heartbreaking and pivotal scene which will show how much he truly changed. Shortly after that somehow Belle will remember. That is my theory. :)
