Two weeks in Granada! I am so jealous. I spent two weeks in southern Spain 50 years ago and my favorite part was visiting the Alhambra and the cathedral where Isabella and Ferdinand are buried. I still remember the story that the reason Isabella’s head is carved deeper in her pillow than Ferdinand’s is because she was the smarter of the two! I am so sorry for the rough beginning and I hope the young lady is ok.
This is my nightmare. I've never taken students abroad before and am so hesitant to. So many colleagues have stories like this. Your witch looks awesome and your shell souvenirs are so cute! Your students will love them.

Goodness, I'm so sorry. I used to work at a University and brought students from all over the U.S. to my campus for a summer program and we always worried about students (for various reasons)... can't imagine having to deal with a missing student abroad! I hope you get some rest and some cathartic stitchy time!
