Cosmo 218 is Medieval Blue, and it is a happy-making color. I haven’t stitched much with Cosmo, but I find myself moving away from DMC for a variety of reasons. Eh. In fairness, I’ve moved away from making art entirely for a variety of reasons that boil down to grief sucking muchly. I’m so sorry for the recent losses your family has experienced. The sampler is beautiful, and I hope stitching it brings you comfort and healing. Cheers.

Sorry for your losses. That's such a series of blows in a short time. Glad you were able to have a good visit with your aunt and to be able to support your mom through all of that. Take good care of yourself, and I hope you find comfort in the artistic materials gifted to you by your aunt, and inspiration in creating with what she collected. Our creations link us with the crafters who came before us.

I love medieval stuffs and I've been collecting medieval "creatures" on my pinterest board for the purpose of one day either cross stitching or embroidering or painting them one day. i am also embarking on a woven tapestry journey and doing wall tapestries for my local SCA group

I did that glass blowing in Louisville several years ago with my coworkers. So fun! I live just over an hour away. My oldest and his family live there so we visit often. Sounds like you had a great trip. I just got back from visiting family and friends in Massachusetts. ❤
