I've recently realized that my white privilege is being ineligible for a college scholarship I couldn't afford and being forced to get into the construction industry after high school and completely dodge being indoctrinated by these liberal institutions

In order to get more students into university the schools made a business decision in the 60’s and 70’s. Previously the emphasis was on studying subjects such as engineering, medicine, law, history, philosophy and languages. To grow the student body they expanded the subject matter to include cultural issues such as gender studies, african-american studies, women’s studies, communications, film studies and sports education. This resulted in a cultural shift in academics. Previously you had to be reasonably intelligent to get into college and graduate with the shift, that is no longer the case.
Or any Ivy League University.
One Harvard student said, “a little more better”. Can’t even speak proper English at Harvard. Most of these students don’t sound very intelligent.
You don't actually need to be smart to get into top universities. You just need to be good at standardized tests and be involved in some extracurriculars. Doesn't take smart to satisfy those requirements.

Having Harvard on your resume will still open many more doors because of its prestige, recognition and network. Obviously, it's not a guarantee of success but to think it "doesn't mean anything to go to Harvard anymore" is stupidly naive and braindead. Let me guess - you reached this conclusion by watching a few UA-cam videos and reading a few hit pieces. Dumb hyperbole for those lacking an understanding of nuance. Have you bothered to check where the top consulting, banking, and legal firms are still heavily recruiting from?

It’s simply the truth, I agree we shouldn’t have abortion, which is a right wing standpoint, but I also don’t think we need to get every single illegal out of the country and separate them from their legal family members. Trump has seeds in the government that will do his bidding, like we saw yesterday with the Supreme Court ruling. Biden although old just has a better relationship with our allies and wont stir the pot with them. I do think Biden needs to do a better job of handling the wars and solving the issues, and stop funding them, but he also can’t just stop it himself since it really isn’t the USAs war, we are not the ones being directly attacked.

Oxford student here. I supported Joe Biden 4 years ago because of his universal preschool initiative -- finally something that can actually help impoverished black and Mexican kids succeed academically so that they no longer need DEI to get into college. 4 years later America got none of that. Nothing but several unnecessary wars, thousands of Ukrainian and Palestinian kids out of preschool, plus a fentanyl crisis.

Harvard is not an academically rigorous school. It's a finishing school, an establishment institution. Harvard aims to be influential through placing alumni. Smart doesn't matter as much as influential.
The people that watch videos like this and actually think he included all the smart answers he got, rather than carefully crafting and editing the video to try to make Harvard students look bad... aren't so smart.

Here, the Portuguese media also, when Trump was in power, were constantly showing him on the news and criticising him. Now, that the US is on the edge of a financial crisis, a border control issue and the worst drug situation, Trump is still the one that shows up more and still trying to make him sound like the most evil person on earth. He’s not a saint but they’re clearly molding an opinion on people’s minds

I'm a student myself and while I disagree with a few things that were said or the way certain things were expressed, I don't really think these people stupid in the least. Occasionally rambunctious? Sure, but not stupid.
Harvard is still extremely difficult to get into, but students are students. The way they express their thoughts comes from the environment they're in. I spent a few years working and never would've thought I'd end up saying things pretty immaturely for a >30 y/o.
Most people who "don't know" (myself included) usually just don't want to make waves when they know they're being listened to by a crowd. That poor girl a lot of people here have been criticizing is only 18. I didn't really care for different parties or political drama, but I did like reading up on our political system and knowing how it works. As a student (especially in Ivy League U's) you're glad if you have an evening to yourself, and often end up living with your head stuck in a hole until you find that next breather.

This is true at both public and private colleges, incredible in that the foreign students' parents didn't pay taxes here yet they are the focus. They don't mind if they expel a domestic student because they can replace them with a foreign student that pays higher tuition. It's in their interest to bend the rules to keep a foreign student in while the domestic student has to be very careful. If the taxpaying public knew this they'd be angry.

Biden did a reasonably good job of steering the country through one of the most challenging times in recent history. I don't think Trump could have done as well.

Entirely false. The smartest students don't go to Harvard at all because they know it's not worth the tuition that a state school has. I would much rather go to a state school where over the course of 4 years costs less than $75k; the tuition for 1 year. I personally know 2 extremely smart people who are going to Yale and Brown respectively but they too know that the name of the university is pretty much useless now. And to make the claim that the smartest students go to Harvard is just an ignorant thing. Looking at the recent actions of the students and school, there is ample evidence to make the claim that Harvard no longer deserves the title of being the best and brightest. Smart people go where they get scholarships and full rides, not because of prestige.
They responded exactly how I thought they would. And they are as ignorant as I thought they would be. Salute to the students who were clueless cowards. Many parents have fallen short.
