KG is my favorite basketball player so I was glued into the Celtics during the big 3 era. I don't qualify to say if Pierce is a top ten Celtic or not but he's always been the poor man's Kobe. Celtics weren't fun to watch but he put in work for the team and stuck it out with a storied franchise on life support. He brought them a ring (finals MVP) and was instrumental in forming the Big 3. Skip is right on this one --- Isaiah had his chance and chose not to play.

I agree with Pierce, IT doesn't deserve a tribute on his night and to me he doesn't deserve one anyway. What has he done with Boston, no titles, no mvp's, he played a couple of seasons and played hard and played through tragedy, but a tribute, really, why - because of guilt for trading him. We devalue the purpose of tributes when we start throwing them out there for any reason.
