I was thinking to myself that you sound odd but familiar. You're a Bay Stater so it makes sense now. I've been away from Western Mass for 25 years now and people still tell me I have an odd accent but I can't hear it. Every once in a great while I'll talk to a friend back home and think ah, that must be the accent they speak of.
And from what I've seen of other people's videos people have been stopping and camping in North Adams. I think a person that finished the trail last year has opened up his yard and amenities to hikers somewhere near the trail and it's getting to be a popular stop so maybe they all went there (Even though this was probably a month ago old news by now)
