I'm not a big turmeric person it can be very overwhelming spice so I would probably start off with a 1/4c or less and taste it.

Hi turmeric is just a choice I don't use that in my rice or adobo I find turmeric to have a very strong and distinct flavor that I don't care for.
Is salt needed on the adobo
You can add the salt when cooking if you like
