Dude im so hyped i didnt even buy Elden Ring because i knew i wouldnt finish it before Elex 2, i'll concentrate on this before i play anything else.. theres a lot of people that will never understand my love for PBs games, but eh, i dont need other people to love it - while it would probably help the studio.. but even they seem to be okay with staying small.
Releasing the game less than a week AFTER Elden Ring was beyond stupid. Not to take anything away from this game or it's fans but this release date was a colossaly stupid business decision.
I can't wait to play this one! It looks like everything I have been itching to play for a while. Yea yeah it's not perfect but I am totally okay with that. So ready to get into Elex II 😍 thank you for pointing out, both, the good and the bad!

I need to play a single player RPG, that I can pause anytime (lol). I have been around since Gothic 1 and have played all their games. This is going to be fun.
Right now I'm playing Dying Light 2, Horizon 2, and Elden Ring I'm still buying and playing Elex 2 I absolutely loved it now I want Outward 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, and Fallout New Vegas 2

Very fair review. Like you I’ve been a fan of PB since the start with my favourite ever game being Gothic 2. I’m delighted they stuck to their standard formula. I was desperate for a good in-depth RPG rather than the mass of bland, boring AAA titles. Which do you think is harder. This or Elden Ring?
Eh, a lot of the criticism was well deserved. I remember one of the early main quests in the first game was "hey we're getting ready to hunt a troll or some shit, help us prepare for the hunt" and literally consisted of walking back and forth talking to NPCs that ended with "that's it. Quest over. Good job errand boy. No you don't get to join the hunt, but trust us it's going to be cool. No you can't at least watch the hunt." That's some insane incompetence when it comes to game design. They had an idea for a potentially fun quest where you fight a big monster with a group of hunters right in front of them and instead they went with making you run errands for the dudes so that they can prepare to hunt the thing. Whoever designed that quest should have been outright fired and thrown out the door of the studio the very second he presented such a stupid idea.
@@glodusmuspell9069 haven't played Elden Ring yet but Dark Souls actually does have side quests in a sense, such as fighting Lautric after he kills the fire keeper in Firelink Shrine in order to bring her back. There's also optional bosses as well and let's not forget the painting world which is a completely optional area. The important thing though is that all that shit is actually fun, challenging, and contributes to overall feeling of adventure and exploration. Being forced to essentially take on the role of an errand boy running around talking to one NPC after the other all in order to prepare some hunters to go kill a monster in a hunt you take no part of on the other hand offers nothing but boredom, tedium, and a sense you're missing out on something that could be awesome.
I fully upgraded my Jetpack to the max and I LOVE IT! When I need to escape a near death situation, then the upgraded Jetpack is a true livesaver :) I will continue as a Cleric for the first playthrough. Second one will be as an Outlaw, next as a Morkon and then as an Alb. I don't like the Berserkers.... didn't like them in the first game and I don't like them in Elex 2... cannot explain why... it's just the way it is.
The review felt fair and the game did intrigue me. However, my current budget isn't allowing me to buy anything new for a good while. I'm surprised to hear that your graphics card isn't being as cooperative as you would like. Hopefully future opimization will address that.

I started to watched, then I noticed UN assembly live was one, so muted, switched attention. Then I am back here and see you running with frying pans on your back....I will come back tomorrow to rewatch to find out what on earth is going on.
Are the enemies better balanced than in first game? Especially at the beginning you had to do quite a lot "talking" quests before it was viable to start fighting. I played all PB games, but the balance of the first Elex at the start of the game seemed the worst so far.
Enemies are deadly as always, it's a bit better because your attacks are much more polished and combat is more enjoyable, but enemies still pretty much attack like before, but this time they are a bit more optimized for sure. You also get access to better weapons faster, ELEX 1 was suffering from that a lot.
In terms of being a rpg is this more similar to fallout new vegas or the witcher 3? Excluding the setting/midevil similaraties between this and witcher.
I’m very late to the party but there’s clearly been some good patches because on PS5 (with VRR) it is butter smooth and my bugs after 4 hours. It’s a manly production, not in any sort of agenda way but it simply is old fashioned and kind of masculine. I think it’s great to have feminine influence in art too but it’s really nice to play a very, very good, addictive and old fashioned game. I hope there’s always room for games like this. This is just like playing Link in tears of the kingdom but I’m not a cartoon twink!😁Zelda for grownups.
How is your performance on Elex 2 i dont know i have a pretty beefy pc with 2080 ti ,as soon as you get in a city/town like FOrt etc the FPs drops from 60-70 to 15 like wtf its unplayable
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME I bought this game at full price (TWICE) when it released and initially couldn't find the time to commit to it. I see it is on sale now, but I would still not recommend this game to anyone. I just completed the game on my PS5 console after playing it for the last week and I must state that this is an even further fall from grace for the once great developer Pirhana Bytes. What is most frustrating is that the game plays like a Prototype MMO, a majority of the quests you will encounter will either be Kill x/10 - This thing x/13 - That thing x/2 - This BIG thing or collect x/10 - This thing Nearly 95% of the game consists of these types of quests to drive the story forward, and while we're on that point. What an actual S#!t story they created. The main protagonist (Jax) who has now somehow been forgotten by society after all his accomplishments in the first game is now preparing for some unknown force that he believes will invade the land. So what happens? The "aliens" actually invade (WHAT A SHOCKER) and they infect our protagonist with some virus which will randomly have you blacking out throughout MOST of the game unless you perform a dialogue option with your drone to train your mental health or something. Did I mention Jax is now a dad? Yeah... Somehow the guy that came from having 0 emotion now is supposed to be a loving father but for most of the part he just completely ignores that he has a child and what happens at the ending will make you even more pissed at how much of a dumb father he actually is. I mean I actually laughed extremely hard when I finished the game and spoke to my companion Caja (The boy's mother) and how she responded about how much power our son has loooooool One thing that Pirhana Bytes was also well known for crafting a game that lets you choose which faction you wanted to join. This seems really awesome at first. I joined the Berserkers again and had to work my way up to the top of the ladder again. Just actually joining the faction is the hardest part, this really rubbed me the wrong way because becoming a Cultivator which is the lowest rank in the faction I chose took a very long time to accomplish. To be promoted from a Cultivator to a Warrior, guess how many quests that took? 1... With it being locked behind a BE LEVEL 20 dialogue option before you can actually become a warrior. And to become the HIGHEST Ranking member in the faction a Paladin, that also only took a single quest, but this quest was literally me just walking to another town to loot a chest of some guy and then come back to the boss of the faction and he was totally fine with that to make me a paladin. Like how is that even remotely acceptable that becoming the most badass person in your faction revolved around me literally looting a chest???? Oh and you also need to be LEVEL 30 to use the dialogue option. So have fun grinding the open world for mobs just like an MMO because most of the side quests gives you just a joke amount of experience that they aren't even worth your time. The balancing is also completely crap in the game, if you are going for a melee build. Good luck trying to fight more than 2 mobs at the same time as you SLOWLY chuck away at their health. And it was extremely funny for me that once I learned the firestorm spell as a Berserker the game became completely trivial as I could just walk into an area, use firestorm once or twice and I could kill 10 or 15 NPCs in 30 or so seconds, whereas if I had to do that with just a melee weapon I would spend waaay more time on that. So great balancing really guys... The game also ends on a complete cliffhanger with only in-game graphics of the camera panning around the land trying to setup for a third game. Are you guys actually crazy!? Maybe don't spend money on a flashy game trailer and hiring Jonathan Davis from Korn to sing a song for the trailer if you are going the END YOUR GAME WITH A CAMERA PAN OVER THE LAND!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? This was really it for me Pirhana Bytes, I loved Gothic I and Gothic II, mayb also even Risen I, but all your other games have really been disappointing. And Elex 2 has just been the straw that broke my back. I will never buy another PB game again. And I cannot recommend this frustrating Prototype of a game to anyone. If I could refund my game for both my PC and Console I would do it....

Eldin Ring is amazing. I’m excited for this as well though. Looks like I’ll be going back and forth. Even Shadow Warrior 3 is out also!

Witcher like, but this is your classic rpg, level up, do quests, get skills, and decide factions, craft and so on

It's a little better but I have 3070 Ti, but even for me in cities it goes down to 30 to 35 which is low

Jax looks really off and weird in this game compared to Jax in the first one.
