it sounds so damn good, wow. I never liked the look of the mt-07 but this is one of those that I first disliked and then started liking more and more and more, what a bike, what is going on?! and then this sound is probably the best I've heard

Yeah it does for sure. That’s the way with anything though. The sound is much better depending on what you’re listening through. Cell phone speakers and cheap earbuds won’t be like nice headphones will be.
@@rnm8664 I bought mine used and it had the baffle out already. Best to make sure the screw in the side of the muffler is out, and then take a pair of channel-locks with a rag to grab onto the baffle and pull it out. It’s a very tight fit from what I can see.

do you need to tune the ecu for this full system, I have a 2024 mt07 and would like to keep stock power with just a sound increase but I'm more looking for over all reliability with still having that nice sound, it says on akro website that it needs no fuel remapping or flash but just wanting to know if you have a tune or just running the exhaust with stock mapping and have noticed any problems??
I am running it on the stock tune. Just make sure to use the original O2 sensor on the down-pipe and you should be good. It will run better with a reflash/tune but it’s just fine without it. Just has a lot of popping and burble off throttle.
You don’t need one, but it is recommended if running without the baffle in. I’m not tuned and have the baffle out. It has a lot of pop on deceleration but no more than I ride, it won’t be much of an issue.
@@adamroberts3623 no it didn’t throw any engine lights. Works completely fine after the swap. I imagine the ECU cut timing a little bit to make up for the extra flow but it’s nothing super noticeable.
Hey I'm having issues removing the baffle. Took the cap off and removed the screw, however trying to yank on the baffle it seems really stuck. The exhaust is maybe a few days old so It shouldnt be seized. Any advice?
I bought mine used and the baffle wasn’t installed. I tried putting it back in but the tolerances seem very small so I just left it out. I did see a video of a person removing theirs and it took a pair of channel lock pliers with some decent force. I imagine they do that to keep it from flying out and down the road in case the screw comes out. Might have luck using a vise grip locked onto the baffle, then use a rubber mallet or something to hit on the vise grip for leverage and force.
I once had the same issue with a Leovince Muffler. I ended up taking off the muffler and putting in a bench vice between some cloths with the baffle facing downwards. Then I took a wooden stick and a hammer to give it a few taps from the inside and it came right out.
It sounds better cruising around I think but the 09 sounds better wide open IMO. Tbh though the 07 has plenty of power unless you’re running down the interstate. It will be 99% of cars stoplight to stoplight. It’s the suspension that holds it back.
@@BlackRiverRider Alright, now considering I am 6ft2 tall and weight 220 Lbs would you still say the MT07 is plenty or would I benefit from the slightly bigger MT09 ?
@@admirkaralic7209 I think the power is still plenty at your weight but I’m 180 and the suspension is still too soft without putting in new springs. @@BlackRiverRiderWell I came from a GSXS750 2018 and then a Z900 2020, and I realized I needed more Torque. The Z900 had weird low end torque, no top end and the engine felt lackluster, like had nothing for apart from power numbers.
