Will record another one with a different knife when I get some time. But for every knife I have tried this with so far, from cheap CR steal to high carbon, it has really put a nice edge to it. Link is in description. 👊
Yeah you left a burr on the board why it wouldn’t cut nice. You should go diamond one side get bur. Then diamond to other side get bur flip again use hone flip use hone

Hi. It appears u didn't sharpen far enough to the apex as factory grind scratches is still visible.
Thanks for the comment. Can tell you that this knife was near- razor sharp after this session. Gerber actually does a really good out-of-box grind on the Strongarm, so it probably didn’t even need a full regrind. Have you tried the Tumbler yet?

@@PreppingWithSarge That's been my experience as that's about what they are good for. Steel sucks, won't hold an edge. I've had several. Save my money and buy much better.

“Micro-abrasions” is just a fancy way of saying it’s a burr-removal tool. Burrs occur whenever you cut or remove steel. It’s just a part of the process. No need to fancy it up. Grind away at the right angle and remove the burr. That simple.

@@leloup-garou443your better off with a worksharp field sharpener 35$ and you can sharpen knives axes and machetes I have one and all my knives are shaving sharp and it’s guided so you learn to hold an angle
