  • This is a short review on the Kustom PA50 Loudspeaker and a comparison to a more expensive and larger PA speaker. This is my first review on any product, and is my first time using voice over with a sript and a sure mic into a mackie 4 channel mixer, and i dont have a popper stopper, so sorry if my voice doesnt sound so great or if it sounds very scripted!

    A decent review. I've been playing music over 40 years and this little unit set up with a decent mixer and I purchased the kustom Sub woofer is the bomb! I've played shows with over 100 , people and and everyone loved it. I've been using a katana head into the mixer and drum machine. Light, crisp and the sub kicks a**! Get the sub, you won't be sorry. Peace.

      Any tips on how you set your mixer levels and volume on back of the unit for maximum sound without breaking up? I dont have a subwoofer, just the speaker. I use it for keyboards for a personal monitor.

    Just got this and for 100.00 its a no brainer. I run my drum sequencer and backing tracks to Solo my guitar over. I picked up a harbinger 300 watt 8" (125 RMS) the kustom makes ogreat mid range setup.. pole mounted could handle smaller gigs bars etc.. but sounds phenomenal for 100 bucks. If a guy got the kustom and a sub, I believe that would cover snall venue's excellently.

    I'm buying the kustom tomorrow..
    Guitar center has it for 79$..
    Me and my friend just jamm in my garage.. two guitars.... Surely that's plenty loud enough for vocals?

    I just purchased this system last weekend for my classroom ... I am the choir director for a local middle school, and I have extremely loud, hyper, rambunctious 7th graders who completely drown me out audibly when they get started. Because I'm a vocalist, constantly shouting on a daily basis is detrimental to my instrument. So I purchased this speaker, not even knowing if it would be useful, and it has made a world of difference in the classroom. My head no longer feels like it's going to explode at the end of the day, and my voice can relax a little. A very smart purchase in my opinion.

    Mine gets really hot for use in 15 minutes and the master volume at 25% . I have a keyboard and mic plugged in. Is this normal? I can touch it for a few seconds in the back but it gets too hot.

    I'm looking for something to use for a very small venue. We're talking a small patio on the back of a coffee shop. I'd have my acoustic guitar, and two vocalists with me and a Gal singing. I think for the price this would be good. I have QSC mains for the band I play in, but that's overkill I think. And they are heavy and I'd rather get something light, and cheap. Those QSC's are 800 at least.

      This unit "overheated & shut itself off" at a nursing home gig I did a few years ago. I wasn't "pushing it all that hard" I put it away & haven't used it since (a Roland AC 40 is my choice these days-I've played a small outdoor gathering with it)

    I've heard this is decent for use with a guitar amp modeler (Line6 POD HD500x in my case), as it doesn't color the sound much. Anyone else used this speaker for a similar application? Just looking for something to jam in my bedroom that will not color the tone of my POD too much.
    Also, with the two channel inputs, is it output as stereo?

    You would not want to use a bass amp with a guitar or a guitar amp for a drum amp. Because these amps have frequency limitations in different areas. But PAs are pretty good with the full range of frequencies so they can be used with everything.

    I have a powered 15" Fender wedge monitor (older and much road use

    • @Easy1Productions
      @Easy1Productions  6 років тому

      There would not really be a point of adding a sound sample, because you would not be hearing what the speaker is actually putting out. by the time the audio records on the camera then gets transferred to the software and uploaded to youtube, you would not be getting any good sound quality from it, especially through computer speakers or any kind of headphone, you would need to hear it in person.

    • @ninetoedlizard6650
      @ninetoedlizard6650 4 роки тому +1

      I ended up getting it, just to reassure you, it works pretty decently. Songs like Breed or In Bloom you can hear but the vocals are lower volume than ideal (coming from a 25 watt amp). Overall, it works, it just depends on how big an emphasis you want on singing, but your average hard rock songs relatively work well still.
