I did my first cruise ever this last December. It was a 15 day TA from Rome to NY. I was solo as well. It was the NCCL Gem. I had a fantastic time, so much that I leave in 3 weeks on the reverse and on NCL Escape. So excited!!!😊 I was lucky, I didn't get seasick. We had 2 nights and days of really rough seas. The sea days were actually my favorite.
We haven't been on a transatlantic cruise but we do live on a sailboat and have sailed alot in the Caribbean. However with the boat being our home we literally don't go onward when the weather conditions deteriorate. Stugeron also helps, not available in the US but we bought it OTC in Turks and Caicos along the way. Many full time cruisers keep it handy, that's how we heard about it. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! ❤️🎄❤️🎁❤️🎆❤️
We've lived on the sailboat for 10 years so far, it was a 20 year plan, we love it and the freedom of moving around or staying where we like. Helped us downsize because only so much fits in a 38' sailboat
My first cruise was on Enchantment of the Seas! That was back in September of 2001. (I was on the ship on 9/11). I would love to sail on Enchantment again! I am scheduled to do a transatlantic cruise in November. I am looking forward to it. We are scheduled to have 8 sea days across the Atlantic!
I would be curious to know what time of year was this cruise. We've been in the Mediterranean during November on a 12 night cruise and had some rough seas, but not too bad. This April, we'll be on the Celebrity Constellation sailing out of Tampa to Bermuda, Gibraltar, Spain, and ending in Rome. it's a 16 night cruise.
Hmm inside cabin on an old royal ship. It must have cost you next to nothing. Don’t complain about the 1100. On our recent ta, we only had one real rough day at sea. Never mind it was a great experience.and we signed up fir another one this october
We were on the same cruise as you. YES, there were a couple wild days at sea after Ponta Delgada. I don't get seasick but my wife does. She brought Gravol and that worked for her. I really enjoyed your video. I made a few videos of our time on board too, not nearly as good as yours but a good way to keep those memories alive. Merry Christmas!
That’s so cool that you guys were on the same cruise! I will keep in mind to have Gravol for next time. I still can’t believe I got so sick! Looking forward to watching your footage and thank you so much for your kind words! Hope you guys had a Merry Christmas and maybe we will see you on another cruise soon! 😊
You all did this in December and the weather was nice enough to be in the pool? Can you talk about the weather both day and night? Doing a transatlantic cruise this upcoming December from London to Miami
Have you been on a transatlantic cruise? If so, how was your experience?
Back in the 60 's as a small child .Then now 3 times on The Queen Mary 2 and then on The Norwegian Escape , the winner hands down The Escape .
In November we will be doing our 6th repositioning and never had bad weather. why do we do it? we love the long sea days, time to unwind.

What an amazing experience to live on a sailboat!! How long have you been doing that? What made you decide to?
Our thoughts exactly!!🤩

Instead of a cruise I saw only your faces. I think people are only interested in a cruise and landscapes
