Driving around Rothenburg like idiots who did not bother to learn the local signage before we rented our car. Apologies German motorists and pedestrians!
One way street in wrong direction, the "small" street with the tables is ONLY for pedestrians, driving in the inner circle of rothenburg is not allowed for everyone...
Well, it's been a year and no one answered your questions about the signs, so here it is what i know (i don't live in Europe): when you get to the first crossroads, there is a red round sign with a white rectangle in it. That one means wrong way.At 3:47 you miss that sign and enter a one way street. At 5:33 there's a sign that says zone and shows a woman with a child. That one means that's a pedestrian area, no vehicles are permitted. Thanks for posting this video, by the way.
WOW! I'd say all those looks you were getting was because of your lack of understanding of road rules not because of the GoPro which I'm pretty sure they have in Germany too.
North-American cities can learn some lessons here in this German city. You don't have any Telephone lines, Electric lines and poles above street level. So, it means these things are built underground. Don't you think that this German city looks more like a medieval city with the cobblestones, etc.? What North-American does look like this? Not even close.
i guess that's why our gps routed us around one of the roads we didn't understand... do one of those signs mean one way or no driving in this area? we definitely did not learn all the signs. :p

I love the cobblestone streets and the renovated houses because when I visited first it was not that colourful and this city is super-clean.
And you have car-free zones for some parts of a city.
