i got a similar tip. take sand paper (wet or dry sandpaper) cut them into long skinny strips (4 inches should be fine) place the sand paper on the dirt nib, place or press lightly with your finger on where the dirt nib is, then pull the sand paper from underneath your finger. this allows you to only sand the dirtnib without making the sanding area bigger than it needs to be. the process might be slower but its basically pennies on the dollar in materials. If youre paying attention, you should be able to sand it flat without sanding too far and creating a divet.

I love my tolecut kit. Couple things I learned was that you can keep the sand paper on the block. 1200 on a side, 2000 on the other. Those are the grits I buy too. Can get expensive if you keep all the grits. Although 800 works pretty good for runs😜

I figured you for a festool denib tool kinda guy. I pulled the trigger on one and am pretty impressed. I’ve actually been using it for prepping and leveling touch up repairs on rock chips jus this past week.

been using these for a while and love them. what I do is put two different grits on opposite faces of the same block and have 2 different grits per block on multiple blocks and no having to swap out film unless it's worn out.

Just found your channel. I have been around this stuff for many years and you’re the best painter I have seen. I am watching all your videos related to what I am doing. Incredible work you do! I use PPG products as well. Have all the primers set to use like you do. I am restoring a 69 Camaro lime frost green. I used 2021 clear on the last restoration and did not like it. Way too hard to sand flat and polish. I’m hoping I can use your tips to lay some clear down with medium coats and minimal cut and buff. I’ll get this de-nib kit for sure. Would you recommend the VC5700 clear I saw you use in another video? Thanks for posting all the videos!! Bill

3M Festool Scraper Deniber #29925 has been a game changer for me. Great for tiny nibs all the way up to removimg big sags and runs. It suppose to level/smooth nibs comparable to 2500 grit level.

Perfect finish Kandy Man, not sure if you know Wayne from Damage Undone but he is a big user of all the Kovax system I have seen him use those small blocks and what he does to make it slightly quicker is to put one square of paper on each side of the block so you have both grits on your block ready to go, thought it might help you🤔🙏👍John UK

Thanks you sir!! This also would be a fantastic addition for any detailers going after sand scratches in paint correction ! ( I made a home brew setup with left over hard blocks that come in the kits for ceramic coating jobs) I am going to add to my arsenal!!!💪

So I have 5 coats of glamour clear on my Impala. Came out great but have some dirt similar to yours in this vid. Letting it cook...and it will be hard. What grit do you think I should start with on my nibs?

Just got my Lexus back from shop and they repainted my rear bumper and I see some nibs. Definitely don’t want them to touch my car or repaint. Maybe this is a solution 🤔 or I just let it go since it’s in the button bumper and only visible when I get up close 🧐
