    Damn that was eerily beautiful.
    Sounds and looks like a place where cassettes go to die. I would easily let that loop run for hours. You’re like the embodiment of a buddah machine dude.

    Tape Loop Orchestra was the name of my band in the mid 1980's inspired by Daevid Allens and Hugh Hoppers tape experiments of the late 60's and 1970's.

    Something about distorted operatic vocals gives me extreme anxiety, especially from EATEOT, The Infected Mass and Ian William Craig. This is the embodiment of such feeling, and I think it sounds horrifyingly beautiful. Thank you Amulets! 👍

    How do you store/transport the "half tapes" that you create for these works? Or are they just made, used and then repurposed for other works?
    (Oh and sending huge amounts of love for your art for your work from down here in New Zealand.)

      i have a handful of them and place them on a high shelf and let them dangle off the shelf. traveling with them is much harder...

    Can I use this in a fan sound track for the inside of a large, city sized AI? It sounds just like Random Gods from Rain World, and it's pretty much just what I've been looking for.

    With everything that’s going on this might seem like an odd question.
    How do you cut the cassettes? Just a metal ruler and drawing a box cutter across it again and again?

      It's pretty easy to cut cassette tapes. I made my loop based on his instructions with scissors.

      some tape loops i destroy on purpose, this one however has just been used a bunch so is a bit chewed up, which sounds great to me

      actually not sure what it is, it's this weird metal tray thing i found at goodwill and thought would work well for loops

    To a total noob like me, can someone explain the process here? I see four separate loops of tape, each with different sounds on, each being faded in and out with something (a mixer? Not sure what that’s called), and I see an effects pedal which is being applied to the output of the overall sound of all the loops? Is that right? And for connections, the cassette players are connected to the mixing thing? The main output to the speakers is from the effects pedal?
