Pre Trial Interrogatories and Requests for Documents

Prior to trial both sides will send each other interrogatories (i.e., written questions) and requests for documentation. In this video I discuss the purpose of these requests and when and how they are used.

Can you, as a defendant, submit a Request for Production immediately following your court-approved discovery motion? In my case, the judge granted my discovery motion, but did NOT include the specific document requested, which was the original signed agreement with the bank. Reason: I need to see the terms of the original agreement, specifically to review any arbitration clause. Thank you.

Will the interrogatories be served to the home? Because my husband was in a car accident that wasn’t his fault. His attorney informed him that the defendant will be asking questions and the police came to the home the next day but no one was home

What if you wait until the trial to show the evidence to the judge and not respond to the request for documents?
