@@nickburke7741 yeah, I'm making a point that Notre Dame ain't the same old Notre Dame that ppl think because Brian Kelly ain't the coach. Kelly was the loser not Freeman
As an ND fan, I hope we show that we are grown up already next week. That said, obviously you want to be Georgia. They have had an incredible last 10 years. Why do they act like ND should want to be something other than a top dog in the college football game?
Notre Dame is a very good football program on the rise. It has upped its recruiting; the coaching and player development has been very good; and ND has won a lot of football games. ND’s recruiting will always be different than UGA’s, Alabama’s etc. for multiple reasons. But in cases where there is cross-recruiting against these elite football programs, ND would like to increase their win rate even more. And yes, ND wants to win a championship in the next 5 years. Finally ND wants to do all this while still maintaining a high graduation rate.
ND has been good for a while now, but yeah, under Freeman they’ve upped their recruiting and are trying to get where teams like Georgia are. Brian Kelly didn’t do Freeman any favors at the QB position when he left. Freeman has had to fix this w the portal, but that should end after this year.
If the offense can open up and they actually have Stockton push the ball downfield with his arm, I’ll feel better about our chances. If the offense is boxed into a run heavy game plan with screen passes sprinkled in, idk. Defense better forget it’s 2024 and think it’s 2021.
Every single take I've seen from the Georgia/SEC media beat has shown next to no respect for this ND team. They will embrace the disrespect and bulletin board material. People in these comments here still think this is a Brian Kelly team are gonna be shocked on New Years.
Will Muschamp the great . Always a bridesmaids never a bride. Must be a reason he hasn’t gotten the nod. J Love is a better back than Etienne hands down.
@@autonomouspilgrimage6137This is NOT an argument…this is Freeman’s 3rd year… he’s literally 38 he’s what 20 years younger than everyone else other than Lanning…please….use other logic
Conferences are scams. Who gives a shyt if they’re not in a conference, this year shows that conference championships are irrelevant. Clemson and SMU made it and still lost. Georgia beat a Texas team who hasn’t beaten a ranked opponent until they beat Clemson, Penn State played Oregon in the big ten title game, meaningless cuz both made it anyways. The whole, only highest conference champs get a 1st round byes. Fn stupid. Biased BS
Mike Denbrock has shown only what it took to win all season (hurt ND vs NIU) the offense we see New Years Night will be a tad different! Idk if it equals a win or not but we shall see
I am a Notre Dame Alumnus - one of the rare students who rushed the field in 1989 when ND won their last championship. I moved to FL in 2002 and earned master's degrees at UF and FSU. Right now, I think even Florida could beat ND. As a guy who witnessed the undefeated season of 1988 and ND's rout of Alabama in 1987, the NIU loss REALLY STICKS OUT. It just doesn't meet the standards of ND's heyday. With that said, I think Georgia has the edge if they (1) avoid penalties and (2) avoid mental errors. I saw another channel discuss Gunner's background. I had been unaware of his background. Now, I know that Georgia is probably better with him for this game given the lack of time or data for ND coaches to adjust. Meanwhile, I think everyone knows Kirby is a better coach. In summary, ND is outclassed but has a puncher's chance IMO. I was at the ASU-BYU game in Tempe when BYU was catching up quickly and marching for a winning touchdown. Then they threw an interception and lost. As long as GA doesn't make mistakes like that, I think they will probably win.
Notre Dame, starting depth chart - secondary: 2 FR, 1 SO - linebacker: 3 SO - o line: 1 FR, 2 SO - RB: 2 SO - WR: 3 SO Young team. Good foundation, many season ending injuries - 3 out of 4 starting Dline, multiple oline, starting CB all upper class men ND talent wise is on par with Alabama and ole miss when healthy, but not Georgia. lol
Do they really have to be explosive? It helps them NOT to be, hold the ball and make all of our possessions critical. We tend to have problems when we have limited posessions because of all of the drops, miscues killing drives. So points are at a premium
Riley Leonard is absolutely better than Haynes King. The disrespect is hilarious. Haynes - 6ft 3" 215 with 578 yds on the ground and 11TDs Leonard - 6ft 5" 220 with 751 yds on the ground and 15TDs Haynes is slightly smaller but Leonard is faster and stronger.
Of course ND wants to be like Georgia. Who wouldn’t? They’re a great program that is always competing for a Nat title, year in and year out. That’s the goal every year
Sec folks are funny, last year yall (sec in general) mocked ou and texas and the big 12 was nothing yadda yadda... now your holding up a texas team that only played GA and lost twice as this great rushing power house, and in the next breath dismiss ND's rushing attack because they havent played anyone.
Notre Dame must either be unfefeated or play a top 25 schedule to even be considered for playoffs. They want to avoid conference pressures and championship games and hand pick opponents.
Riley is faster than Haynes King. He broke the QB rushing TD record at ND this year. Poor evaluation. The missed tackles Indiana had are the same missed tackles everyone has had trying to tackle Love in the open field. Meanwhile, yall have no concerns about your vanilla offense moving the ball on ND’s elite defense. I’ll be back Thursday. 😂
King and Leonard are literally the same 40 time….what elite defenses did Notre dame play this year? What about offenses? What’s Notre dames best win besides Indiana….Army?
@@anthonygaeta754 yeah it is hilarious that Notre Dame hasn’t played any really good teams up until the playoffs and even then Indiana is a paper tiger
ND will put 150 yrds on Georgia in the running game. Don't act surprised , watch the Geo tech game, watch the defense, they will bring some serious hitting, so I hope the running backs are ready for that storm coming their way! I predict 2intreseptions, and at least 1 blocked punt. We shall see 😊😊😊.
All I see is a Georgia team that is like Alabama. I don’t see anything special it’s another Nick Saban team with Kirby at helm. We see how Alabama turned out this year.
