In 2019, when we began to follow a young Dutch lady on a motorcycle traveling across SE Asia, as she wrapped her luggage in plastic and didn't know how to dress for riding in the rain, that barely one thousand days later, as one of the world's most-recognized motorcycle riders she would be competing in the Kalahari Rally that might qualify her for Dakar? Sometimes she inspires us with her videography, with her empathy for others, with her curiosity for the natural world, but always, always this woman inspires us. WOW. A privilege to "ride along". Ms. Noraly Schoenmaker, stay safe. Ms. Savannah Honda, be strong.
Yes, watched her from the first season too. Especially that it was the season she dropped by my country, Malaysia. Never stopped watching her since. Cheers Noraly, all the best! From Malaysia 🇲🇾
How can a girl called NO Raly compete in a ... Rally ? You are definitively an astonish person. May the force of your little honda be with you ! With all my admiration philippe
Noraly, there is something in your eyes, smile and general manner that says you have come alive! You are enjoying this. It's not the drone of endless touring. Best of luck!
I've never met online anyone more independent than this youtuber. She lives anywhere, goes anywhere and enjoys everything. I'll pray for her because I'm jealous.
Noraly, You Are Amazing. Your search for adventure and your ability to seek out new challenges and adventures is a true inspiration to all riders every where. You are doing things that some rider may have thought was too difficult or out of reach to try. But with each video you make and every adventure you go on, you have inspired many to go outside of their comfort zone and challenge the unexpected. Remember Noraly to keep your shiny side up and your rubber side down. Bless you.
In 2019 i bought a Royal Enfield Himalayan. Yesterday i picked up a Honda CRF 300L. This inspiring woman is almost a daily part of mymotorcycle adventures😉!
Never been a dirt rider, but I've done 300,000 miles around this planet on two wheels (probably won't get the opportunity to ride others). But I always learn something from Itchy Boots. Big take away here: if you don't need it, don't take it, or store it where you can find it when you do need it. Steady on girl, steady on!
I first latched on to your UA-cam videos by accident and I am so glad that I did. It was during season 1 and you were embarking on the sort of journey that I had always envisioned undertaking myself. However, life, family, job etc had always got in the way so to live that life through your eyes allowed me to see parts of the world that had fascinated me. Each new episode brought new insightes and realisations. Your latest episodes throughout southern Africa have been great to watch and the Kalahari Rally has been some of the best videos you have ever put out. Thank you for being my window on the world and keep on doing waht you do best...live your life to the full.
Oh, I'm so stoked for this! I always wanted to participate in a rally in SA but never managed to pull it off while I lived there. Noraly, this is the perfect step up for you - I expect your life and the channel will change immensely because you have (once again) followed your instinct and passion. I will be there for every second you show us!
There is so many girls around the World, riding bikes and having blogs on the internet..... but none, not even one, can come even close to what Noraly does, and how positive and with style she is presenting it all .... Just amazing .....
The excitement is catchy. By the end of the video my heart was pumping from the adrenaline. Wonderful, I’m looking forward to following the intrepid Itchyboots and Savanna get the ticket to Dakar.
When Noraly said she was entering a rally, I was thinking this was such a change from the adventure touring she does and that I love to watch -- well, I'll watch of course, but maybe not enjoy it as much. But after watching this video, I am so flipping excited and can't wait to see what happens! Savannah, take care of our girl! (and vice versa)
Yea, I can't get into this racing stuff, personally. I also think about the negative environmental impact that all these racing vehicles will have on the remote regions they go through, tearing up dunes, stressing the wildlife with their speed, loud noises, and polluting air, etc. Not a fan of this type of activity. I may watch an episode or two just to see how our Noraly is doing, but I may just need to hop off the bike at this point . . .
Oh shit! I’ve been following you since day one. Have travelled the world with you BUT this is the first episode I didn’t want to end!!!!! Racing and the community that it brings it’s one of the most great experiences in life. I can definitely feel the enthusiasm. Oh Monday, come soon!
My last motocross race was 1975. I wish I could say I remember exactly what pre-race butterflies feel like but, I don't. I remember it feeling like everything was happening in slow motion and my brain was WOT. Butterflies is an apt description of how your body feels. It is definitely a time when you are fully alive.
Your such a natural presenter, relaxed, confident vibe really comes through the lens that we're all part of the action.. 👌A new career in the making for sure with the love of motorcycling.. Full power for the next 7 days of action 🌞💖👌
Dear Noraly, I have been following for a while now, since you visited my home country Argentina. My wife and I love your videos and your travels. How you have evolved as traveler/ rider is amazing.
Good luck, Being a former enduro rider, just watching you prepare brings back memories. I was getting amped up and excited for you. Be safe and enjoy because it will be an experience to cherish for the rest of your life.
I have no knowledge about bikes, cars or racing, but find it quite interesting. I once had a holiday cottage in a village which has a moto cross on a farm right in the village, with an event that week, so it was either escape for the day or go to the event. I thoroughly enjoyed the day!
Your eyes and smile and voice show such a wonderful combination of both a seasoned athlete getting ready for a championship game and a giddy 10 year old with all the excitement of the world just bursting out of you! The pure joy and energy flowing from you is contagious! My heart and I’m sure all of us watching this is racing! You’re all sorted with a new adventure in front of you now! Take us along...!
I was a little bit hoping you'd be joining James Alexander's team. But turns out he is kinda outside the field. It IS amazing that your friend is spontaneously joining you for the adventure and will help you along the way and assist with the filming. This is gonna be very exciting! I'm holding thumbs for you that your rally is gonna be succesful, free of failures or accidents and that you will have a blast!
Wow I am so so excited to watch the next couple of Epic Rally episodes. I just know that you, Savanna, Mandy and Betty the Van will just do fantastic in the Kalahari Rally! You are all certainly in very good hands and the rest of the back up crews will be there for you if you should need any assistance! It will be tough however we all know that you are up to the challenge and at the end of the race everyone there will have a BIG RESPECT for you. Be Safe.
Congratulations! #1 Priority: Noraly's Health. #2: Have Fun! My tips: Just take it easy and enjoy the journey. No crazy stuff. My biggest obstacle in competition used to be staying calm, focusing and not letting adrenaline make me do things I wouldn't normally do. Sounds crazy, but these events can really get the adrenaline going. Keep that in check by keeping the mind relaxed and stay reasonable.. You have experience many others don't.. You earned it, now use it and Have fun. Don't worry about your standings - Just try to finish is a major accomplishment to be proud of. Just trying it out is something to be proud of. Lots of liquids...
I never miss any of your videos and now am very excited for you to ride in the rally. I always like to think I am sitting on the back of your bike riding along with you. Prayers for you to be safe and have the time of your life. I always love to ride along with you and be taken on an unknown adventure each video. From Australia. I can't believe sometimes you say such Australian sayings and know such fantastic english..... I know you lived here for two years. Can't wait for your rally to start and good luck. You have had all the experience you need to compete, especially up the Sani pass - that in itself is a rally !!!!
Noraly your an inspiration, I wish I had your courage, your zest for life is an astounding, I now know I have wasted my life. So much to see and do, when time comes in your later years, sitting on your rocking chair you’ll be able to reminisce about the experiences around the world, you’ll be in the full knowledge that you have really lived your life to the fullest, your a true living legend.
Been with you from season one and I must say, I RALLY RALLY like the direction you are about to take Itchy Boots! I see over 1 million subscribers in your the not to distant future! Good luck Noraly and Many blessings !
I can feel the excitement in my stomach, so I can't imagine what Noraly is feelling! Wow! What a rush! Across the world you will hear cheering for Itchy Boots as she participates in this rally! I'll be with you all the way!
Wow! Amazing adventure. So impressed that you are doing this and that you are taking us with you. Sooo exciting to watch. Good luck and safe travels. You go girl!👍👏
For all you do! For all you rode! I have pure love in my heart for you! I can no longer ride, but I watch every mile you do and you make me love riding again and to never forget it! Thank you Noraly!
Wish you the best of luck and hope your rally experience was safe and exciting! Having ridden enduro and reliability trials, I dreamed of competing in the Baja 500/1000 in the 1970’s. You are a champion Noraly!
The siege of Mafeking was a great historical event of the Boer War. What a great place to start your adrenalin rush into the rally. Best wishes to you. We will all be looking forward to the updates.
Ubercool! I used to do this type of racing 20 years ago! Wonderful memories and yes, I have done the Kalahari Desert race as well. Have fun and stay safe! You will experience the wonderful kameraderie of the fellow competitors and organisers and see some spectacular scenery. Keep your goggles on when the cars pass you, they kick up some massive stones!
Mostly Husqvarna! Wow! That makes me proud! Husqvarna was started as a Swedish firearms manufacuring company in 1689 (332 years ago) in the town of Huskvarna (the spelling with q is typical oldfashioned spelling). I live just 90 km from Huskvarna, and one of my cousins actually lives there. Furthermore I have an Husqvarna myself ... but it's just an electric lawnmover.
Wow, great! The Kalahari Dakar race is well know all over Botswana. I've never visited or seen it personally because I live in the east side. What an experience!
a Kid in a candy store when I saw this video popping up in my notifications...Why? because I knew exactly what was about to go down...I'm so glad/excited to see you went to race the Kalahari...I grew up in Mafikeng and moved away last year. Thing I miss most about it, besides the people, is definitely just getting on a bike and heading into the bush and the dry river beds for the day with my friends...one of them, my good friend Garth Roberts who started this rally a few years ago. His passion and dedication to the sport (for as long as I can remember), the time he (and his team) invests into this event, and making each year's event bigger and better than the previous one is commendable... Can't wait for the next episode...
As a New Zealand citizen I loved to see the New Zealand Silver Fern sticker on James' bike. It had the words "Kia Kaha" in Maori written on it too. Kia kaha means "Be Strong".
I’m vicariously both nervous and thrilled for you. What a challenge and adventure! I love the thrill and challenge of track school and track riding, which now seems painfully timid (not to mention a whole lot less scenic) compared to what you have undertaken. This is Itchy Boots taken to a whole new level :) P.S.: I was thinking, while watching you trying to pick the right track at some points in Namibia and elsewhere, that a true off-road GPS (Garmin GPSMAP 66sr or similar) might help where the Zumo XT does not show sufficient trail detail. I have the XT as well, but the full-on GPS units (including the new ones that incorporate InReach) could be lifesavers.
Dear Noraly For those of us who live or have lived in this beloved land, you have single handed Opened the window to our hearts and the Deep sense of belonging to this land and all its people Going back to some of this landscape through your travels has healed something in me I thought lost My heart goes out to you and I wish you happy travels! V
Wow, Noraly- This is an amazing, exciting adventure. And although you say you have never done this before, I know you will do well. I have followed your channel since India and your skills have improved enormously. And has been said before , your intelligence, empathy , kindness and energy keeps all of us cheering for you in all your adventures. Stay safe and well. Best of luck, Dan ✌️😀🏍🇨🇦
We are so PROUD of you for taking on this event challenge!! Husband and I worked on ISDE qualifiers in Idaho for MANY years. These events are so challenging! Your body gets beat up and you are so tired at the end BUT SO much fun. Glad you have your support vehicle at the ready. You WILL make it to the end! Safe and sane riding, Norally and Savanna, for the next few days. Can't wait to watch the videos!!!!😀
I'm so impressed! I know you will "represent". I'm glad you have friends on the race with you to help out. Can't wait to see the view from the road. Good luck!
My trip with Itchy Boots started from Season 1 Episode 1. Thanks for all your videos. They have brought joy and you have shown us different side of the countries and people what we can see in news. You have been so positive and inspirational all the way from India to this day. Good luck to your new adventure. 👍
Wow! How exciting! You excitement is palpable, as gal who learned to ride M/C way back in 1970, on a Suzuki dirt bike in my 20’s I am so excited for you. This will be thrilling for you and thank you for taking us along. Wishing you a safe and fun ride. 😻❤️🙏🏻 from California Bkitty
What another incredible video! We get to, finally, see your friend Many, you start up a full on race truck, meet up again with a biker legend, who now , I think considers you a legend (rightly so), and all in preparation to get into a big race. Wow! I just love your enthusiasm, and smile-just be very careful in the race; don't get too competitive, you're only ever racing against yourself. Cheers from the West Coast of Canada.
Another phase of your African adventure is about to begin and I and my wife can’t wait. The pre-rally orientation I just watched really lends perspective to what is about to begin. Fantastic job today. Thanks!!
There she is!! ARE YOU READY¡¡... Start your engines... Not to worry, you are an adventure expert with 22,000 km's (race is 10% what you already rode in Southern Africa) under your seat. 6 stages, no ptoblem.. Enjoy. Not to worry, what you tend to do. You're doing everything right. Getting Savannah all serviced up, better helmet with googeles, review of the six stages, sturdy new extra reserve tank, new back bag. Savannah looks terrific, she looks just like new with all the extras (I'm sure you did your research like you always do). Remember the saying for the other bikes, the bigger they are the harder they fall. Impressive TEC check. Nr 28 from the NL... with this and your good luck support team Mandy & Betsy... keep you fingers crossed... Dakar here I come... Incredible machines.. Thanks for showing us around. After the briefing... rest well... get a good night's sleep with dreams of your race... Ride careful... Stay safe... (you already well noted being the only women with the smallest cc bike... go surprise them how well you are going to do.... I and all your supporters have faith in you and Savannah... Good Luck)
Blessings from above and good luck on your latest endeavor Noraly. Watch your fatigue level, breath, and stay relaxed on the bike. We will all be rooting for a good, safe finish. Now go show the Kalahari what boss mode looks like.
You awesome woman! I am so stoked for this event, and wish you the best of luck. The professionalism and enthusiasm on display here is inspiring. Onward
It's not the terrain that can hurt the most, but the speed. A lot of very good riders have been hurt or worse by mistakes or unexpected circumstances racing the Dakar.
*Ms Noraly Schoenmaker & Ms Savannah Honda with Mandy the support Crew and Betty Van* , all the very best in this rally... I can not wait for the next lot of videos to come... from this kiwi bikerchick in Aotearoa New Zealand 😃 😃
Hi Noraly, thank you so much for all the 4k footage, I know that it takes a lot of extra time to edit & upload, but it is awesome watching your stunning captures in 4k on a 28” screen 😀 Safe travels (PS. I understand if you are not able to do this all of the time due to internet & time constraints)
Wow, the only woman....you go girl!! As they used to say (in the olden days☺️)...you’ve got moxie!!! Enjoy the heck out of this! We are all watching and supporting you Noraly!
You hit the point.
Well said👍🤞
An adventurous brave girl
MS Savannah - Stay strong 👍🏻
Yes, watched her from the first season too. Especially that it was the season she dropped by my country, Malaysia. Never stopped watching her since. Cheers Noraly, all the best! From Malaysia 🇲🇾
How can a girl called NO Raly compete in a ... Rally ?
You are definitively an astonish person.
May the force of your little honda be with you !

😄
Noraly, there is something in your eyes, smile and general manner that says you have come alive! You are enjoying this. It's not the drone of endless touring. Best of luck!
Your development into a supermotowomen is simply incredible. This is simply some of the best that UA-cam has to offer!
Best of luck to you Noraly on this Rally. Be Safe and let's get Noraly to 1 million subscribers on this Rally.
In 2019 i bought a Royal Enfield Himalayan. Yesterday i picked up a Honda CRF 300L. This inspiring woman is almost a daily part of mymotorcycle adventures😉!

"It always seems impossible until it's done - Nelson Mandela" so dear Savanah 250cc & Noraly fingers crossed, thumbs up & goodluck! :-)
Love that one....
@christo bosman oh no you're one of those guys
I first latched on to your UA-cam videos by accident and I am so glad that I did. It was during season 1 and you were embarking on the sort of journey that I had always envisioned undertaking myself. However, life, family, job etc had always got in the way so to live that life through your eyes allowed me to see parts of the world that had fascinated me. Noraly says she's pretty stoked, and that tells me everything I like about following her adventurers.
Oh, I'm so stoked for this! I always wanted to participate in a rally in SA but never managed to pull it off while I lived there. Noraly, this is the perfect step up for you - I expect your life and the channel will change immensely because you have (once again) followed your instinct and passion. @@istra70 I agree with you 100% Noraly is one of a kind. My only prayer is that remains safe. God bless her
@@istra70you're 100% right. Watched onherbike, she's amazing and one of my favourites, but I'm sorry, this one is on another level.
The excitement is catchy. By the end of the video my heart was pumping from the adrenaline. Wonderful, I’m looking forward to following the intrepid Itchyboots and Savanna get the ticket to Dakar.
Haha Basil, my heart is beating faster too, and my palms all sweaty ... damn, the anticipation and excitement is just crazzzzzy!!!!!
Same here .........still can't believe......

Noraly has muscles! Dang girl! It's not just stronger skills that you have been building. Good luck Itchy Boots!

The Kalahari Rally --- puts the itch back in Noraly's boots when trumpeting elephants begin to all sound alike. Keeping the fire 🔥 burning!

We all are.
Dear Noraly
For those of us who live or have lived in this beloved land, you have single handed
Opened the window to our hearts and the
Deep sense of belonging to this land and all its people
Going back to some of this landscape through your travels has healed something in me I thought lost
My heart goes out to you and I wish you happy travels!

Wow, I sense your excitement. Best wishes for a successful series of rally rides, GO NORALY AND SAVANNAH!
You've got this, Noraly! Be safe and have fun. I'm glad you mentioned that you're putting the rally as a higher priority than filming!
Best of luck Noraly, you look postively glowing and energized! Go Savannah!
Awesome!! Kalahari Rally! You and Savannah are ready! Sooo very cool! Good luck number 28!!
I'm so impressed! I know you will "represent". I'm glad you have friends on the race with you to help out. Can't wait to see the view from the road. Good luck!
Steve that knows Lortons?
My trip with Itchy Boots started from Season 1 Episode 1. Thanks for all your videos. They have brought joy and you have shown us different side of the countries and people what we can see in news.
You have been so positive and inspirational all the way from India to this day.
Good luck to your new adventure. 👍
This is just the very best kind of madness!! Good luck, we're all rooting for you :)
Go Noraly Go
Bless up,
Stay safe
Watching from Sydney
Prepare for the worst, pray for the best! You Go Noraly! I believe in you! You can do it! Be safe, but drive it like you stole it!
I can't imagine how you're feeling, I'm sitting in England watching you online, and I'm full of anticipation. Hoping it goes really well for you.
To borrow from a childhood show I loved.... Go Savannah... Go Savannah... GO SAVANNAH GO!!! (Speed Racer)
Thanks!!
I have never been as excited as I am right now! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and wishing you Good luck!
Good Luck)
At 4 minutes in, I am saying to my screen: "You are literally a world-class adventure rider. You can do this 100%"
All the best for the race! You really such an inspiration to everyone. You will be great in the rally. Can't wait to see you kill all the stages
I am so exited for you Noraly - Best of luck and enjoy the adventure! Greetings from Peru
Love watching your videos, makes my day to see all the wonderful places and people you meet on your travels.
Good luck Noraly, stay safe. X

This is one of the best videos you ever made. I'm really excited to see you at a Rally. Keep going, be safe!!!
It's not the terrain that can hurt the most, but the speed. A lot of very good riders have been hurt or worse by mistakes or unexpected circumstances racing the Dakar.
Go Noraly, what a great experience, Savanna looks really cool with her prep done. Good Luck 👍
On 18:34 what a starting wonderful sound, is so great!
Good luck Noraly, as I’ve said previously you are “TRULY INSPIRATIONAL”, enjoy yourself and take care 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Best of Luck on the Rally Noraly “Breath” You Are A Brave and Powerful Women. You Got This !!!!!
Fantastic! This is going to be incredible to watch. So glad for you - we can tell with the wee smile you're on cloud nine!
*Ms Noraly Schoenmaker & Ms Savannah Honda with Mandy the support Crew and Betty Van* , all the very best in this rally... I can not wait for the next lot of videos to come...
from this kiwi bikerchick in Aotearoa New Zealand 😃 😃
I’m thrilled that you are embarking on this new adventure! Can hardly wait to see how it went!
GOOD LUCK NORALY!!!!! Take it at your own pace. So glad your good friend is with you. So exciting!!!
