immediately pulls me right in, love that grounded vocal, little nasal twang, the gruff. He knows his way around a lyric, tells a good story well. Very special in one so young.
I don't listen to any new country only 90s...but my husband sent me this song knowing I don't listen to days country and I'm so happy that he sang it from native to native it made me like it 100x more

I'm not really a country music fan, especially when the songs are usually about trucks and doing donuts on dirt roads while drinking a beer. But I like Triston's voice and style and I would definitely listen to his songs. Hope he wins Idol.
Same here. Country has never been my thing, but so much could try now isn't different from southern rock or 60s folk music. I also think Triston is an unbelievable talent. Megan Danielle from last season also had a beautiful voice. Ill be listening to them both now and again along with Iam of course! Enjoy the show kcarl and have a good Tuesday!

This guy is so talented. I hope he wins American Idol. He is Huntley changing the game and country music. He’s probably one of the youngest artist they’ve had on the show in quite a while and he writes his own music and his journey of how he got to American Idol I wish him the best.

Triston is making a way in his lane of country music. He’s so poised and gifted. He’s got the right amount of grit, rasp, and country twang. He needs to continue his talent, cuz country music needs him. Played some of my parents vinyl records of Charley Pride. Triston kinda has his voice texture, and maybe he should sing a ballad or two from Charley’s collection. Triston is a wonderful storyteller, and he so well deserves to be in the top 10.

Love Triston so much. Ya ya ya we get it, he was a little off and this wasn’t his best performance but that doesn’t mean it was bad by no means. So far none of the contestants have been consistently outstanding with every performance. This one caught up to Triston but I pray no one forgets all of his other performances and how incredibly talented he is at only 15. He deserves to be in top 10, now he’s gotta work to stay in it and I truly believe he can be the next American idol!

I think by waiting until the second to last selection for the top ten put a scare into this wonderful young man. I was in agony watching his face. Most of the others are older and have been around the block; he hasn’t has time. If Will Mosley wins instead of Triston, the fix is in. Triston, Jack and Mia are my favorites. Wish there could be three winners!

They keep leaving Triston until the very end when they are announcing the contestants through to the next round.......i almost have a breakdown.....and yet at 15 he has such composure......and he is a composer......We are betting on him. He's fantastic and consistent. But this was his weakest so far. I heard pitch issues, and he seemed very awkward. I think he should go back to just standing there with the guitar. He had some great parts in the song though.
