Not much has changed then to the way the disabled through dangerous industry are being treated in 2017 to back then. Looked down on and trampled.

Here's the Peterloo graphic novel we're currently part-funding on kickstarter.
78% backed, 2 weeks to go! Narrative 100% from historic documents, professional artists and historian authors with plenty of previous books to our names, all active in the successful Manchester campaign for a proper memorial, publisher all lined up, rearing to go!
Hope some of you here will check it out and back it. www.peterloo.org

200 yrs ago to this very day the thinking people and artisans of England peacefully gathered together at Peter’s Field in Manchester solely to be addressed by Henry Hunt on the unfair and unrepresentative systems then prevalent in English society. The Authorities and those in power feared such large gatherings of ordinary people in the belief they would result in a repeat of the French Revolution on English soil. So planned in secret to forcefully put down revolt by the use ultimate force. The strains of Peterloo continue today to ’reverberate’ in Hong Kong as the Chinese Government amass troops on the Chinese boarder of Hong Kong in much the same way as did the Magistrates did in Manchester 200 years earlier.

It wasn't over 200 years ago.
