    Valery, shifting of weight while in overhead gives rest for sure, but it also has a tremendous rehabilitative aspect. It can be utilized in lifting to work on our weak side. As an amateur boxer I can use it to train my strong or weak side (as desired). Oleksandr Usyk (Ukrainian heavyweight boxer, and the best in my opinion) often works with kettlebells that are unequal in weight. The heavier bell is used by Usyk to get a specific effect, for example, to strengthen his strong or perhaps his weak side.

    Another great video. I love the half snatch. I struggle with the regular snatch but can do the half snatch fine. Great cardio. Most of my 0:02 workouts are this exercise. Usually 140 reps in 11 min. Sometimes 200 reps with a 16kg. I read somewhere the half snatch was how they did it in original competition, before the switch to regular snatch. Is that accurate??
