If the external hard drive is not working or recognized, Try replacing the case!!

First of all, in my case, the failure symptom of the external hard drive is when connecting USB,
- Not recognized by computer
- Status display LED does not light up
- Hear the sound of the hard disk working
I thought it was a cable failure, so I tried using another cable, but the symptoms were the same as above.
I thought it might be a problem with the PCB board.
Most of the hard cases could be purchased at around 10,000 won,
I chose an inexpensive case that supports the same USB 3.0 as the existing external hard drive.
If you have the same symptoms as me,
The hard drive seems to be fine, but if you suspect PCB damage, disassemble it.
We recommend that you check it by connecting the SATA cable or replacing the case!

일단, 저의 경우에는 외장하드의 고장 증상이 USB 연결시,
- 컴퓨터에 인식이 안됨
- 상태표시LED에 불이 들어오지 않음
- 하드디스크가 작동하는 소리는 들림
케이블 고장인가 싶어서 다른 케이블도 써봤지만 계속 위의 증상과 똑같아서,
PCB 기판의 문제일 수 있겠다 싶었습니다.
하드케이스는 대부분 만원 안팍의 가격으로 구매가 가능했는데,
기존의 외장하드 스펙과 동일한 USB 3.0을 지원하는 저렴한 케이스를 선택했어요.
혹시라도 저와 증상이 비슷하거나,
하드는 멀쩡한 것 같은데 PCB 손상이 의심되신다면 분해해서
SATA 케이블에 연결해보시거나 케이스를 교체해보시어 한번 확인해보는걸 추천드립니당!
