The blow drying is a process that allows the coils to be stretched out. Usually people blow dry and comb out the hair at the same time to get the curls more relaxed. Without that step the hair wouldn’t look as sleek or be as malleable as you saw it.
Hey! My mum tried doing this hair on me but it kept unravelling once she put the hair tie in it. I’m an Asian Filipino with curly hair does she need to do anything different to my hair or can she even do it at all?
Really the products you use to lock it in is important too, maybe look for a loc gel or setting foam that will keep the twist in, use clips at the end Til it dries.
I know this is a late reply but does she blow dry the hair before starting? I'd try the braiding the hair and then transitioning into the twists. After braiding, split the braid into two equal parts of hair. Twist both equal parts the the RIGHT. And then take the right side and twist it OVER LEFT.
Do you think this would work on straight hair. I’ve got pretty long straight but thick hair and I’m trying to get some braids these holidays. Do you reckon I could get similar twisted braids to these
Its gonna be hard but I think so not totally sure cause when you do it it will work but the ends will start to unravel and you can’t fingercoil it cause its straight so everytime you do the two strand twist twist the hair before actually doing it to confuse the hair and make sure it doesn’t unravel
She liked it but didn’t reply lmfao I gotcha girl It depends on how much hair they got & how big they want the twist so keep in mind when u put the locking gel in & start twisting it’s gonna cause shrinkage so don’t do them too big but start from the back & do even rows front to back & it’ll tell u how many rows as long as u keep it even
I braid and twist my grandsons hair and they have a whole lot of hair! Who would have thought that boys would be spends the same time and energy on hair as girls?😂
I think he got line up by the Barber first then she parted and twist his hair , his hair looks a little faded on the side that why I would say he went to the barbershop and got line up first . ITS TO FRESH . 💞
I prefer for people to get cut first because sometimes the barbers will cut a braid or dread off . Idk why it gets messed up… Might need a new braider. Make sure your hair is clean before you get it cut and braided & have the appointments back to back.
I plan on getting this style of twists at some point with the fade. I'd like to know though if he had a high top fade previous to the twists or was it faded after the hair is blown out? Also, what is the length of his hair as well. Appreciate it
It’s better to get the cut before. That’s just to ensure I get a good cut. I don’t want to risk getting the braids cut into. I also want the Barber to see everything. I like to get my hair cut the day before or day of the twists.
@@breepadgett2393 No it's best to get the cut after that way it's easier for the barber to match the cut with the braids. If you get the cut first the the braids may still have some loose hair strands that looks like new growth.
@@markrichardson8793 yes this is what my barber recommended me, get my hair done first then get the cut so the stylist has more than enough hair to work with
Love how you put extra moisture as you go down the twist. It makes a huge difference with my child’s hair type. Thanks girl !!

So r u spraying water and using setting wrap lotion?
It looks absolutely 💯 👌
I have really straight hair and I was thinking will I be able to get two strand twists or it won’t go well with straight hair?
Just put rubber bands on the end
you could do the rubber bands as suggested or try to use lock gel
So you braid it first and then split it for a two strand twist??
yup thats what she did
@@ares6327 thats the bsst because its tight on the scalp and liza she did thank ares not me lol
Ayeee! You in Houston? We need you in our sons hair lol fr !
My girl bouta do mines today 😁
If you used only those 3 ingredients and your smoothie was that green I'm confused. What else did you put in it?
Trying to do this on my man. How long do you keep the clips in afterwards?
10-15 mins and blow dry
Are these good for start out locs ?
At first glance ....you gave me Chris Brown vibes🎉
So you braid the top first then start the twist then braid again at the bottom or you keep twisting??
Yes !!!
Can you take these out or are they permanent like dreads?
Thanks for sharing how long do they last
How long did it take?
That’s what I’m getting in my bday
Did you only use gel at the top of the head?
Subscribed keep on shining like u do follow where your heart goes 👍🏾 stay positive always be yourself
How do u end it up?? U just turn it and left it?? Doesn't it go away if he sleeps or something?? How does it stick?

Yea
Thanks my husband wants me to do this but I’ve never been much of a hair person 😩 so pray for me while I give it a try 😅
Good luck because she’s not even explaining how to start
😍😍😍 fine
Uh uh 😂😂
Will the braids work for white boys as well
Why blow dry it just to wet it again? Does the water effect the length?
It’s so it has moisture and doesn’t look dry
The blow drying is a process that allows the coils to be stretched out. Usually people blow dry and comb out the hair at the same time to get the curls more relaxed. Without that step the hair wouldn’t look as sleek or be as malleable as you saw it.
Welp I just found my next hair style
So do you twist each strand individually and then twist together?
Yes

rubber bands covered in hair oil at the ends
What are those metal hair clips called
Do you think this would work on straight hair. I’ve got pretty long straight but thick hair and I’m trying to get some braids these holidays. Do you reckon I could get similar twisted braids to these
imo it doesn’t look good on straight hair because it’s meant for afro texture hair
Can do this with straight hair ?
Its gonna be hard but I think so not totally sure cause when you do it it will work but the ends will start to unravel and you can’t fingercoil it cause its straight so everytime you do the two strand twist twist the hair before actually doing it to confuse the hair and make sure it doesn’t unravel

What were the products?? Where are you located??
So do u cut tha front of the hairline down like that in the front or it’s a certain way u part it to keep tha hairline visible?
It was cut that way
How long did it take
So you braid a couple times first then twist ??
Yes
How do u know how many rows to do ? Idk if that make sense lol I have a hard time with that
She liked it but didn’t reply lmfao I gotcha girl It depends on how much hair they got & how big they want the twist so keep in mind when u put the locking gel in & start twisting it’s gonna cause shrinkage so don’t do them too big but start from the back & do even rows front to back & it’ll tell u how many rows as long as u keep it even

How long has he been growing his hair ?
Is this a relaxed hair?
No
What were those products used on your brother's hair.

the line separating his fade at the start do i need to get that line cut by a barber or is it just ur being parted
because whenever i get cornrows my fade is always messed up after.. ( i get my haircut then hair done) - high top fade
I think he got line up by the Barber first then she parted and twist his hair , his hair looks a little faded on the side that why I would say he went to the barbershop and got line up first . ITS TO FRESH . 💞

He did a good job but you weren't sharing what products you were using as you were going along
