NIH HEAL Initiative Workshop: Applied Clinical Experience Session (May 15, 2024)

On May 15 and 20, 2024, the NIH HEAL Initiative® convened “Substance Use Disorder Trajectories and Outcomes Within the Broader Socio-Environmental Context: An NIH HEAL Initiative Workshop.” The goal of the workshop was to aid in the coordinated development of an enhanced recovery and social environmental research portfolio across the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). This discussion-based workshop brought together 50 experts across domains, including people with lived and living experience, to provide their perspectives and discuss priorities.
