Was hoping for a stunt double rolling down the stairs with it to be honest. I accidentally tried that myself with the first (I think) plastic carrying case GW released in the UK. The case and miniatures were all fine, I wasn't. The case attacked my face at least twice on the way down and by the time I got to the bottom I wasn't the same shape I started in. Any case that saves you having to repaint something is good enough for me, especially if you can't hold a brush because some of your fingers are bent the wrong way now. That fugly case from way back then was also nowhere near as classy, or versatile as this new case, with only a single layer too. I definitely know which I'd prefer. The one that hasn't beat the shit out of me.

Love your stuff, and I think you're killing it with the miniature line, but I don't really see the use for this case if I'm being honest. The biggest issue is probably that it's tiny. I think it would work great for say, a killteam, or taking some minis along for painting at a friend's place/store or something. A 40k army though? With tanks, 120 boys etc? You'd need 7 of them. I think the girthiest monsters such as a great unclean one wouldn't fit in there at all. It has its uses, and will likely do the job admirably when transporting small amounts of infantry, but that's likely to be about the extent of what you'd use this case for. Absolute kudos to the fair reporting on the stresstest though! I doubt many cases will survive a 10-meter drop, but I hope we're all bright enough not to let that happen in the first place.

Use Pelicans for camera equipment etc and they're undeniably the most rugged cases you're ever gonna need, but my god the prices on those things... A Pelican the size of this briefcase is like 2-3x more money. Probably a bit overkill for models.
So I just get a suitcase And some decently thick Foam and cut some squares into it 2 layers like that And then 3 layers of just sheets To go against the exterior panels And 1 2 separate the 2 cut outs Or I get an old tool box And do something similar But run some aluminum strips at the bottom of the cut outs So if there are magnets at the bottom of my bases The miniatures will stick to them and not even risk moving. OK So I could spend like a 100 bucks and get this Or I can go to a second hand store Get the suitcase or the toolcase For less than fifteen And the floor Mat foam Or the dense phone For insulation Spend like 20 bucks on a big 2 inch thick sheet And like 3 bucks on a knife

Honest, opinion here. I can get the smallest carry case from GW for cheaper than this carry case, I know this one might be better but if I can one super easily without much of a waste time then that's what I'm going to do.
If you had something to secure the latches in place on the top like a lock clasp it would've been secured enough not to open on that impact I'd imagine. But still looks fairly durable for it's main use and kudos to actually showing the limits of its capabilities.
