*cries in nostalgia* i first started reading warriors in 2013. i heard of them before, but whar really got me into was SSS warrior cats. i was incredibly amazed and hyped, the intro song and parts of the episodes lived in my head rent-free for months, i watched all the episodes at least 10 times, asked if there was any more, and when was told Warriors is book- jumped into reading. both book and the series, oh my god, what huge boost of inspiration it was. somethng incredibly fresh and catching, an obsession literally, i even tried to write my own silly parody with different characters. later on i made my WC OCs and tried to find fans in my city to make an irl clan :D. i was a huuuge fan. now about SSS only - holy gosh- for it's time- the animation is amazing, the animators were so talanted and skilled, it still looks good to this day. i love the desins and artstyle so much. voice acting is pretty good too, Lionhears and Graypaws voices(and acting) are especially stunning and fitting to the charactes. i can feel it took a lot of work and time, and it was totally worth it. i want to say huge thank you to SSS team, thank you for making this and making my childhood so much better. it got me into drawing a lot more, showed me the animation community( and got me into animation too), got me into making stories and made me love wild cats and forest so, so much more. i can tell it made a huge impact on all warriors community, incredibly positive one. thank you for your work, you will never be forgotten.
Just starting to watch the series after reading the first two books, and lemme tell ya; I envy this artstyle fr. It’s so refreshing and nice to see, it doesn’t choose to look “”good”” (at the very least in a more modern sense) and borders on the same line as wolf song (another animation with a heavily stylized artstyle.) Could be the self-indulgence and the fact that this artstyle today would be called “cringy” or “ugly”, but I think it looks very pleasing to the eye. It focuses more on creativity and originality in designs, than it does trying to look “good”. Albeit, this series was made in..2012 I’d assume? Idk, I can’t see on the mobile website version. But, still, the artstyle for Warrior cats at that time was amazing. So..ye! In short; the artstyle is AMAZING, no doubt about it!
FOR REAL!! This series was what got me into animation myself! These days I don't animate cats almost at all, but Imagine Dragons and SSS Warrior Cats are literally the reasons I still do it
coming back to watch this 10 years after it was made just impresses me even more than when it first came out. i remember waiting for the episodes to release and watching this as i read the books. it’s such a great fan project and just makes me wish that this series would be adopted to a tv show. i can’t believe people were able to put so much time and effort into this and i’m so happy they were able to bring it back to the US on youtube. it makes me happy to relive my childhood memories and i think i’ll pick the books up again for a reread. thank you for putting your time into making this and i hope you’re all doing well now.
