Whoever disliked this video needs to have their head examined. He literally went through every possible scenario to fix this type of flooring in great detail. Amazing tutorial and I'll definitely be using a couple of these to fix my own flooring.
Trade secrets. Some will be angry about giving them away. Get over it B-otches. This guy is sharing his skills and just be grateful. Nice work. Thankyou for sharing.
As a female, learned from your video more than I have from any other instructional video. I had two boards damaged and because of you I know it can be repaired. Thanks.
thanks to you, I'll be able to fix my kitchen without removing alllll of the flooring. You're the best! Kudos from a Peruvian student living in the Netherlands :)
I had a really bad set of scratches (much worse than video) from moving a refrigerator by myself sideways through a door on my brand new lifeproof flooring which isn't so life proof BTW, and I was worrying about it for a few weeks while I was finishing the other interior stuff in my new home. I purchased the old english dark wood scratch cover and am still amazed how well it covered the scratch. You absolutely cant see it and this is vinyl flooring. I really appreciate the poster. He did a great job and really saved me time and $$.
This is excellent. I had a pipe leak under the sink that went under the laminate flooring. I couldn't get it out for love nor money, but after watching this video I'm confident I can do it. I'm also going to attempt covering the scratches at my front door. Thank you so much!!
I was facing the prospect of having to lift up half my kitchen laminate until I saw this video. Some great tips and clearly described. I managed to cut out and replace a water damaged board using this video. Thanks so much for sharing your skills Art.
Absolutely excellent video tutorial! Thank you very much. You covered every possible type of damage I have come across, and showed how to repair each quickly without needless talk. Thank you.
This is a great tutorial video on repairing a laminate floor. Not only that but it is entertaining!! I got a few laughs out of it esp. when he was using the rubber hammer to move the other board.
Thank you for finally explaining this process the easiest way and it looks perfect. I will watch more of your videos when I need to fix something you are very knowledgeable about the work you do again thank you
Have replaced worst area in my living room, now onto the Kitchen! Great advice and excellent instructions. To the naysayers: if a 72 year old Grandma can do it, so can you.
An amazing video … just professionally fitted a laminate floor and run into a faulty board …. This has given me me great confidence to fit a new board without lifting all the floor again !! Great job my friend … we learn things every day … greetings from the Uk 🇬🇧 thank you
Brilliant video much better then the others I seen on here. Wife pushed a heavy oak table and now got deep scratches on laminate floor. Got spares in the shed so will replace. Big thumbs up from London.
You are one amazing guy. There is so much information in this video. If the sound is poor pull up the transcript ( that’s a whole hoot right there) thanks so much for taking the time to share your expertise
Thank you! This is the video I needed. That hot glue and wood glue tip is great. I tried this in the past and I have one board where a corner sticks up. If I had used hot glue, it would have been perfect.
It wasn't perfectly good I saw the gouge b4 he added to it. Great opportunity to show us ... but why not use that suction cup tool to whack the in? Glad I came across this one! Thanks man!
That ... was ..... *EXCELLENT* ! Just the facts. Clear instruction. Potential hazards to avoid highlighted. Reasons for doing things logically explained. Perfect demonstration with no cuts. A real professional showing a real world example. If only all YTube instructional videos - on any topic - were as clear and concise as this. It proves that you don't need fancy titles, camera, editing to convey great information. Well done and greetings from Prague ! It's only a pity you only did one video :( Please do some more ! I think you would get a huge number of subscribers
Lmao did he say it wasn't professionally recorded? And that's soooo much easier than taking apart the whole floor to replace a few boards love this video
I'm about to attempt this and found the video invaluable. If I could suggest one thing for beginners like me (Art is obviously very experienced) then it would be to cut away from yourself every time until you're really confident. I can just imagine my hand slipping and causing an injury!
Enjoyed your repair video, it was very much real life. I saw a professional one on Pergo and the guy was using a track saw. I have every tool known to man and don’t own a track saw, so thanks for making it simple. How about a complete installation of new flooring? I just installed some pergo outlast and the written instructions I tried to follow and “no way”! Thankfully I found some videos that confirmed the way I did it on my own was right. I’m sure you would do a great new install video since you live in the real world, not a laboratory where everything goes right. Your challenge when the new board was slightly smaller, used the mallet to scoot it into place. I widened an opening going into my attic and now have to replace 2 or 3 brand new laminate floor boards I just installed before we decided to move a 34” love seat through a 28” opening. Thanks for your help, keep them videos coming, I subscribed and liked this one
I had to do this on the job today... Wish I had watched your video first! All in all it came out pretty good, but the 1st vid I watched didn't mention anything about slicing that little edge off the groove side. Would've saved me some trouble. Like the 2 different glues too. Gj mate
Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial. I do have another question though. Recently we had a hot water leak and the water ran over and under the flooring. We now have some really bad looking floorboards. Once we rip out the damages according to your methods do we need to cut out the foam underlayment. I'm concerned about mold. Thank you for all of your advice and examples.
This man is amazing! I have been scratching my head on how I am going to fix a plank that has a Dime size dent in the middle of my living room. After debating weather to remove all the floor leading to the plank. I will try the wood putty first :) if it doesn’t work. I will try to change the plank this way. Thank you! I appreciate this pro tips very much 👍🏼 a thumbs up from me
Wow, thanks for this video. I have 2 damaged planks in my living/ dining room and all the companies (5) that I have contacted to see if they can repair have said that the entire floor needs to get redone. All of it!! Yeah right- it’s just $$$ they want from me and I call major BS- they said they can’t replace individual planks- UA-cam is loaded with videos showing otherwise and this video is great, proof that it’s totally possible. Wish this guy was in Chicago to do my floor 🥲. Anyone from here with suggestions of anyone who does this type of job?
Great video, makes for an easy repair and save a boat load of money. Only thing is I would have vacuumed where the board was removed before placing new one in.
Nice job young man - you have an accent that forced me to concentrate on your explanations and process - WELL DONE !! The video might not have been professional; but, the instruction was, and that's the important thing. I watched another video and got sea sick !!!
excellent video. great information from a real tradesperson. thank you. i have a glue down plank to replace which this video will help me with. i'm still sweating having to deal with the glue part. yikes!
Whoever disliked this video needs to have their head examined. He literally went through every possible scenario to fix this type of flooring in great detail. Amazing tutorial and I'll definitely be using a couple of these to fix my own flooring.
Seriously, and 50 people?? I guess humans really are THAT stupid.
I agree. Great video.
@Brett Somsen You don't get it. Floor installers are being upset about giving away trade secrets.
Thank you!
Thanks.
As a female? Are you insinuating they you have a harder time learning or something? lol
Don't say as a female. Doesn't add anything to your sentence (but invalid generalization)
As others have testified I have viewed several other videos but yours was the most useful. Thank you for making and publishing on UA-cam.
Instruction was superb and there was nothing unprofessional about the video. Excellent, down to earth, real demonstration that explained all details.
thanks to you, I'll be able to fix my kitchen without removing alllll of the flooring. You're the best! Kudos from a Peruvian student living in the Netherlands :)

Excellent video. Did not realize I had choices besides going directly to replacing the plank. Much appreciated.
Excellent tutorial and very articulate! You stuck to addressing the repair issue. Recording was well done as well. Very professional. Thank you.
This is excellent. I had a pipe leak under the sink that went under the laminate flooring. I couldn't get it out for love nor money, but after watching this video I'm confident I can do it. I'm also going to attempt covering the scratches at my front door. Thank you so much!!
My friend how was your attempt? I have to repair water damage that occurred while I was on vacation. Some of my floor boards are warped.
Great video and very well detailed, and best of all he had no ego, he said if he can do it anybody can do it, nice bloke and well done mate 👍

I was facing the prospect of having to lift up half my kitchen laminate until I saw this video. Some great tips and clearly described. I managed to cut out and replace a water damaged board using this video. Thanks so much for sharing your skills Art.

No words can describe your talent and your simplicity great job brother.
This is a great tutorial video on repairing a laminate floor. Not only that but it is entertaining!! I got a few laughs out of it esp. when he was using the rubber hammer to move the other board.

Wood putty worked like magic on our brand-new LVP. Thank you for this great tip!!

Did this work out for you?
Yes absolutely perfect 🇬🇧
Great delivery, easy to follow, thorough explanations of both how and why, with each step.
Brilliant video much better then the others I seen on here. Wife pushed a heavy oak table and now got deep scratches on laminate floor. Got spares in the shed so will replace. Big thumbs up from London.
You helped me be brave enough to try it, and it doesn't look bad for my first try. Took your advice and tried it in a "closet"first. Thank you!
You hit it on the head mate. Brilliant way to fix it and explain it as well. Thank you.
