After 17 YEARS since Yubel was released…It’s now seeing ACTUAL competitive success. Crazy.
Not really. The new cards that they printed a few months ago are just insane.
Give older decks support and people start playing them? Color me shocked
I hope vampires are next, so many cool forgotten archetypes lol
Are you implying Yubel should've had competitive success back when it was released?
it's really not interesting at all, but I guess you have the motivation to make clickbait content
Yubel is my favorite deck, and I'm so glad to see it at the top
I mean, it makes sense when you think about it. With tenpai being the clear front runner, yubel basically being an anti battle card is really useful now. Ntm the deck has a pretty competent plan going first with all the other fiend link tools. Cool to see it succeeding though.
Even in TCG now the deck has insane go first.
There are a lot of 2 card combos that end in Apo+Rage+Varudras, and a basically nibiru proof combo at that
How do you end on appo+rage+varudr?
Now i feel stupid for not picking up all the yubel cards when they were pennies, now the deck is really expensive...
btw fiendsmith is insane, you can do so much with 1 card from that engine, expect the engine to be really expensive on the tcg
The prices havn't changed that much since release. Nightmare Throne and Loving Defender have gone up, but that's about it. The Yubel cards are still relatively cheap for a meta contender. Although not cheap like Tenpai but that's an insane anomaly for the TCG.
fiendsmith is also a 1 rank 5summon Wave High King Caesar or without normal summon, and prevent nibiru, without commiting to your normal summon, or a faceup non target negate
When the Yubel stuff was announced I started selling cards and working up to buying 3 QCR Super poly just to play the deck. Good to see I'm FINALLY rewarded for that kind of foresight.
While drawing into Lurrie sucks, it doesn't make Fiendsmith any less than an incredibly powerful engine considering how 1 Fiendsmith = 1 Beatrice or High Wave King Caesar without using up your Normal Summon. It's almost as good as Mathmech Circular in that regard
Fiendsmith should've been a VW card
@@F3XT So add any VW s/t and then what? Or what would you have preferred for the effect to be?
@@chewdoom8415 I mean just that and the recurssion form gy would already be crazy for vw, but I think just how the effect feels makes it look a lot like VW, but of course you could make a lot of different things to make the effect fit the theme more
POG YUBEL
Can’t wait for vendors to make a budget deck expensive for no reason just like they did with Tenpai.
these results arent necessarily indicative of what INFO format will look like, but it is funny how meticulously calculated this all was
Like yeah, Im sure its a coincidence we got a powerful Rank 10 monster just as we have a somewhat viable strategy that can get several level 10 monsters on the field with ease. Or generic and splashable Fiend support
I mean yeah, card games are designed with synergies in mind.
Baronne and Savage getting banned in the TCG right when a new omni-negate comes out is the only part that feels conniving to me.
@@TheTrueFoolthe banlist is looking more and more silly the more I think about it
"We don't like omnis, anyway here's an omni only one deck can reliably make use of"
"We took away some floodgates, anyway let's bring back some more"
@@MiyaoMeow588 I don't think omnis are the problem, omnis that almost everyone can make are the problem, at least that how I see it.
well, that and boards with too many omnis.
@MiyaoMeow588 One deck with one omni is not automatically problematic, just look at voiceless voice. It is really the powerful s/t that make it so powerful
Since it is only one you can rely on removal via board breaker spells since you can bait one negate. This was not the case with savage and baronne.
yubel pog
This is our time now!
Yugioh is all about broken Fieldspells now
hey, ive got a question, ive been out of the scene for a few years now i basically have quite a few cards of 5ds era and before and now want to start getting back into the game to play with friends and maybe local tournaments if im having fun. Would a good starting point be buying 3x Traptrix Structure Deck for example?
That's for sure man, I started recently too, me and my friend bought the dark world and fire kings respectively we are having so much fun at locals, the traptrix deck is a good starting point, since unlike the dark world one you basically have everything you need
If you like 5ds buy 3 of the archfiend structure, synchron is a relatively cheap strategy as well
The "Tempe" support is insane too, now Tenpai best deck
Tenpai attacks alot. Yubel works like mikanko where they convert opponents attack back to them. Simple math
Yubel OG Mik.
That's what I been saaaaaying
Hey if supports can make old decks good, can we get some o dat for hydrogeddon and oxygeddon?
I cannot believe I've lived enough to see a deck throw myself off more than Branded using Gimmick Puppet Nightmare. They really had to give Master Tao the Chanter to Illusion decks, only for Chimera to use it to special summon Diabellze on your turn, and you can special summon a floodgate on the opponent's turn. Terrific.
the new yubel fusion is such a custom card. no wonder the deck is actually really really strong with it
we fiend soup now

lol nice reference ☝️
Rather seeing Yubel than SnakeEyes
That's so funny, because I just finishing slapping that deck around 😂
They were likely a shit pilot, don't flatter yourself. If you went up in a tournament then you can talk
@@Zebaksjam ...I've beaten them in ycs, they don't have a good match up against me
Besides the low sample size, that graph is also very misleading. They decided to split Snake-Eyes into 3 decks (pure, Fiendsmith and Fire King variants), while the Yubel decks were not split, even tho half of the Yubel decks play fiendsmith and half doesn't. In total there was:
6 Yubel decks (mostly with Unchained and half of them with Fiendsmith) + 1 Chimera Yubel
7 Snake-Eyes decks (3 Fiendsmith SE, 3 FK SE and 1 Pure) + 1 Rescue-Ace and + 1 Purrelly with small SE packages
Also, there's quite a few decks without lists, so hard to say how accurate those numbers are.
tbh fire king snake-eyes and pure snake-eyes is quite a different deck
Yubel plays well into Tenpei and for what is worth OCG DID have the biggest hits to SE (even if it wasn’t that big that speaks volumes to other formats) so it wasn’t gonna get better objectively. Wanted to 1 is actually a decent hit.
Naw dont tell em
Neos wiseman play when
Yubel Is Pog Now.....🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
does this mean snakes got powercrept already?
Brother have u seen fiendsmith snake eye
Wanted went to 1. This hurts pure Snake Eye the most. Decks that ran snake eye as an engine are hurt less or have alternative builds that don't necessarily use Snake Eye engine
Yubel prices rising lol
Beatrice is on a ticking clock....
I've been tryna tell y'all.... Yubel best deck!
Isn't Yubel just really good in ocg because it's not that hindered by maxx c?
no, the new fusion lets you recycle yubel cards for a body with monster negate. And with tenpai rising, yubel counters them (because the reflect damage from vanilla yubel counted as effect damage not battle damage)
@@orionn5290 The reflect damage applies to all the yubel monster's
Been saying this for months
Yubel also good cuz maxxc do not hit too much yubel like snake
Almost as if printing broken nonsense leads to bad decks seeing play.
Rare lgbt mascot win for Yugioh
I think ocg players are just bored and want to play the new guu 😂
Chimera is cringe
you guys focusing on snake eyes way too much as if its a tier zero deck when there are many decks that can compete with them like tenpai yubel and engines like feindsmiths , snake eyes are literally nothing without generic negate link monsters
Tenpai can be played around thanks to sideck and fiendsmith is a snake-eye deck. Sure, You Will beat snake-eye with another deck sometimes but in the big picture when you look at statistics snake-eye is objectively better
@@randomUser2121 snake eye is the one mostly played because people overestimate it and inflate when you can look at tournaments and look that most of it the extreme majority aren’t topped by snake eyes decks
@@randomUser2121 and tenpai and yubel honestly are so lovely due to their playstyle thats is competitive and focus more on battle phase
@@randomUser2121 fiendsmith is not a snake eyes cards only, its a very splash able engine just like adventure engine with option, link spam to go into Apollousa 2 mat, 1 starter into combo prevent nibiru with5 summon into High Wave King Caesar or Beatrice dump gy, or a 2 faceup non target quick effect negation
without using your normal summon
What "generic negate link monsters" are used a lot in this game outside of apoloussa? Now the TCG lost two generic omni negate synchro monsters, but people have moved ok two going for the double hand rip with dis pater.
And yubel's is not battle phase focused like tenpai. While it can come up and is good against tenpai, yubel decks are focused more on building a board full of disruptions. The ocg even uses yubel as an engine due to the monster negation.
Yubel is no binary!!!
