AND THE SIMPLE MULTIMETER IF YOU PUT IT ON THE INDICATOR FOR DIODES AND TEST IT YOU WILL SEE IF IT LIGHTS UP OR NOT THE LED WILL NOT LIGHT UP FULLY BUT WHAT WILL LIGHT UP IS ENOUGH TO SHOW THAT IT IS GOOD !!!
With all due respect; The picture in the thumbnail shows very poor construction/connection/solder technique. Looks very nice. But it's like a $25 Earl Schribe car paint-job. Drive it around the block and the paint starts peeling. Heat those solder connections and in short time they crack and come apart. -- With all due respect. Thank you
Right. This principle can be extended by stacking multiple capacitors to get almost any higher DC voltage you want. Back when in the 70s I worked on televisions, a number of then-current transistor sets used a module called a tripler that was, basically, a potted capacitor ladder circuit to allow the use of a lower voltage transformer to get the required 15-25kv needed for the picture tube.
So, a half wave rectifier with filter capacitors to convert AC line voltage through a step down transformer into low voltage DC, just like a USB-C power adapter... And it's only twice the price and several hours of work!
@@RJEDITALL No the purpose of increasing or decreasing the capacitor is not the same and it happens because the capacitors are connected in series which causes a huge amount of current to pass through which causes the capacitors to heat up.

You change the resistor
The best part about this device is that if you get any of it wrong, you might have made a cardiac arrest machine! So you still made something!

It's cool but I'm confused why you would use 44 V DC to test LED's? That seems way over voltage for something like this. Am I wrong? 🤔
@@Sp1der44 I am use resistor for high voltage control
