A while back I had a project similar to this and one thing you can do for the trunk as well as the hood to give it more strength and to make it so it doesn't have as much of a hollow sound when you tap on it is to get some spray foam in a can from the hardware store and use the included tube for the spray foam and spray it into all of the voids on the bottom of the hood and trunk. The foam will fill in all of the open area inside the voids where you can't get to. It is especially helpful on the trunk for when you do a stereo and do dynomat.
@CameronAlford man i gotta tell you, loving this whole build so far! you are such an under rated youtuber, most youtubers are not as humble as you are its just nice to see that your hard work is paying off in one way or another and its awesome to watch. keep it up Cameron!
This video production makes me smile.. the use of bondo makes me cry then yell, then cry some more.. & for the love of god buy some quality step drills.. lol Thanks for the content!!
I’m no professional welder but I would definitely suggest beefing up the welds on the front bumper plates, personally I wouldn’t want to run tack welds permanently but that’s just me. Practice makes perfect! I also hated doing Tig so props to him for doing it!
I get where you’re coming from Parker however since there’s no weight added onto the tabs there’s really no need for anything other then tacks. I added those plates there just to keep the bumper from moving.
I love watching this series because you're literally building the car I had in my head. I've wanted a GC8 for a LONG time since it's my favorite body style next to the hawkeye and you're building it exactly how I would've built mine. Can't wait to see the end result! (Also would love an Audi or Audi S4 jet tag!)
@@Randallpullen123 Almost every manufacturer suggests using some sort of sealer before use. It's really not an expensive investment money or time wise, so why not?
Hey, once you finish the car you should definitely take it back to the previous owner so they can see and react to what all you guys did to it, it would make for an awesome video too! 😁🙏🏽
Sick build wish they had 2 door rs’s out here in Australia if they did I would 100% be doing a 22b replica build. Keep up the great content. P.S please paint it blue 😀
man Ive wanted a rs since I got my license. could never find one in solid condition or justify the price on a decent one. seeing you build one is sick. best of luck.
If i ever had Sti, or a project car, or a garage, i'd be happy! Nice vid

i wish this build had daily uploads, i love the channel but i love this build more than anything on youtube right now
How do you plan to stiffen the chassis now that you gut the fender supports? wouldn't that allow the body to bend if it goes airborne?
Randle is the man definitely correct especially here in az
Put clear ppf film on after it’s painted so if shit gets messed up the paint will be fine
This is such a great build. props for showing the high level of detail that goes into this kind of custom build. It's been a blast to watch so far
You guys are the Original Gangsters. Everytime I watch your videos I learn. Receive love from Nairobi, Kenia. Can't wait for the paint video.
This is genuinely good content. I’m surprised by the lack of views
the channel will grow with time. He isnt doing like a ton of "clickbait" stuff which might be why
@@ethansimpson4606 yea true but with 200k subs i thought this would bring more attention in
Once it gets painted, I am sure it will take off!
one of the best content creators on youtube honestly
Always love all your vids bro. Keep it up!

i’ve been enjoying this channel for years now that i think about it
Same lol

I was watching this on my Apple TV, but I had to hop off to comment and say how awesome this build is. Love watching you guys.
CAM what's the song at 8:20?? Smooth as all fek!
I just went through and watched all of the cg8 playlist yesterday and glad you uploaded more 👌 loving the build
when are you making another vid on building the 240sx?
What a great build this is going to be when it’s all finished, it’s getting there 🔥🙏🏻
Hey man love the channel. Thanks for making all of this!
Odd question, where are these reggae backing tracks from? I’ve gotta have more haha
Thats alot of work!
Not gonna lie, this was super satisfying to watch!!
Such a great build to follow, so much information. Best series yet!
great vid! and awesome work!
but i think the fog covers should be flush mounted?

This makes me exited I just got an rs and plan to restore it as well!
i thought you needed primer first before bondo so it sticks
Don’t they have safety glasses in the USA?
Can Randle come do my GC coupe build next? I promise he won't have to be on film all day!
You have to prime bare metal before using under coat. The raw metal will condensate and rot underneath the rubber coating
No condensation here in Az

@@Danielism which part of the car are you referring to?
Monitor Specs? 0:00
Loving this build, looking to buy an GF for myself and fix it up, so this should help somewhat!
Yo Cameron, where if you get this body kit!!??
ABW motorsports england
I really want one of those STees you used to sell.
Looking forward to seeing this thing painted!
Ranall goin ham with the bondo😂
love the long videos keep up the hard work

great vid
Love the work man
I am really enjoying the build... Pins and Needles to find out what the color will be...
how come no one commented on his awesome studio setup 😭
can't wait to see the color
Hell yeah no doubt gonna look sick

Hey cameron you have gotta find some clear taillights and blinkers they make the gc chassis look so much better!!
man Ive wanted a rs since I got my license. could never find one in solid condition or justify the price on a decent one. seeing you build one is sick. best of luck.
Not boxing in the front is a huge mistake. Should be using factory clips for bumpers. Safer for fiberglass than bolts and screws.
i got 2 1979 trans ams im restoring i just need help on bodywork and painting tips
Oof.. I feel like a lot of structural integrity was cut away for the newly formed wheel arches.. 😬
Believe me the tubs made it stronger then the factory structure
Here for the whole build 🤘🏽. Using it as inspiration to finish my 350z. And paint is disrespectfullly expensive 😭
Rivet nuts...once i discovered them it was life changing
MO POWA BEBEH!!!!!
Hell yeah man let's goo
Let’s goooooooooo
I couldn't do fabrication, I would get annoyed by every small detail not being perfect.
How much does Randle charge per hour? 😅 sheesh!
A lot
Anybody else realize randle did this in crocs?
Yessir!
Kinda hyped im first
