NikkieTutorials and the Taboo Topic

  • Oh lord. If the kids don't get where I'm coming from. I will be getting dragged. But seriously, it can be really hard for a person who does not identify as Trans to talk about anything that is related to a Trans topic. And it often can turn a conversation into invalidation. But it's a conversation that I think we should be able to have when a person is truly wanting it and mean no harm.
    I myself have dated people who identify as Trans, so I can only speak from the other side of the relationship.

    I love that you brought up a bunch of important points. Personally identifying as something doesn't negate their responsibility for their actions. It didn't bother me at all when she came out but to be honest, I wish she could have kept her business her business not only for her but for her man. If he ever chooses to exit the relationship you know a select few of people will accuse him of being transphobic.

    People don't learn well when they're feeling attacked, i think your approach to educating the person was correct. You treated her with compassion and recognized that she came from a place of ignorance, which can easily and respectfully be rectified. You did well and i support you in that.

    I've never thought Nikki was born the wrong gender but what shocked me was the reason why she had to come out. When she flipped the bird at those vile persons I cheered. What a strong, brave lady she is! You being transphobic because you talked about Kai is such bs. Transgender or not, whoever grooms minors must be called out, exactly as everybody called out Onision. I so agree with you; our gender doesn't define us, but our actions do. Much love 💖

    I totally agree, and I love that Nikki even mentioned it as well. Years ago I dated a trans man for about a couple months. He was pre-op and didn’t know until we finally decided to get sexual and he didn’t have a penis. I do not like vaginas or dealing with them (I barely like my own lol) and I’m simply not sexually attracted to them. I told him I was upset he didn’t tell me and I wasn’t attracted to him anymore. I said it would be best to end it then and there. The next day I was hit multitudes of comments and messages and death threats calling me hateful and transphobic and homophobic from his friends and family. The thing is, even if he had been post-op, I would still have liked to know also due to the fact that we wouldn’t be able to have biological children between us. Trans people should tell their partners because it gives them a chance to decide wether or not they want to move ahead with the relationship. I completely understand that it’s hard and intimidating and you might lose them, but your partner has a right to know before things get serious and like you said, if they choose to leave it was simply not meant to be and they’ll probably find someone better suited. I just hope Nikki’s relationship lives on after this, but again if her fiancé chooses to end it, I would understand that as well.

    Your video on Kai wasn't transphobic imo, you were trying to use the right pronouns and Kai genuinely is a bad person, regardless of gender. Most videos on Kai use "she", most people don't even try. And as far as Nikki not telling her boyfriend, I personally think you should tell your partner if you're trans, I made sure my ex knew I was trans before we started dating. If someone else chooses not to tell their partner, that's fine, but I personally disagree. As a trans man, I love your videos and your viewpoints on this subject.

      Honestly telling your partner or someone you're planning on having sex with as soon as possible is very important imo. Not just because it's "their right to know", but for your safety. Almost half of the trans people that get murdered is as a result of the person they were going to have sex with or hadn't told their partner early enough finding out and getting pissed about it. It's super sad and I wish it wasn't like that, but for trans people's safety I believe it's important to be open and honest right off the bat

    As a trans person myself I agree that snapping at people does nothing. We should communicate and educate. Also, trans people are human which means there are bad trans people, it is not transphobic to call out a bad trans person. You are very respectful with your points, I definitely agree with most you have to say.

      @MarieMunsterful  4 роки тому +3

      Thank you. I try to be respectful to everyone as long as the is a mutual respect of course lol I like talking things out because sometime with the lack of communication comes a lack of clarity.

    • @GayGothPirate
      @GayGothPirate 4 роки тому

      @@MarieMunsterful I'm glad you have that mindset. Honestly people who are not trans are often too scared to talk about these things but the lack of communication only causes more problems in all communities, not just the trans community.

    What I've learned is if you validate a person's opinion by saying that it's real and valid, they're more likely to listen to your side. I may not agree with someone's opinion but it's their right to have it. I've had civil conversations with the worst of the worst people. People want to feel heard, and that's what I do. I listen. As for transgender people.... I've noticed that the majority aren't the ones yelling "transphobia" at everyone. It's the VERY loud SJWs of them. (And their supporters.) And lastly, you do you. Move those hands around!! I speak with my hands a lot too girl!

    • @MarieMunsterful
      @MarieMunsterful  4 роки тому +1

      You are speaking nothing but the truth. That’s why when I am in a conversation that I don’t fully agree with I always state. “ okay I definitely hear what you are saying” just so they know I am engaged in the conversation.

    • @kimw8056
      @kimw8056 4 роки тому

      MarieMunsterful You learn a lot more with an open mind. People think you're giving up your values, ethics, etc when you give someone validation. It's not true. Once we stop listening, and believe our way IS the right way, we're no better than tyrants, communists, and so on. I'll give someone my ear because it takes a lot more energy to fight them. Besides, it gives me an opportunity to educate them on something they may know little about. 😉

    TBH my jaw hit the floor because it never entered my mind. It has ZERO bearing on my love for Nikkie because she's fun and talented. I'm a strange person because when I meet people, I don't think about their genitalia or who they're attracted to. I also don't care what color pill you choose-red or blue, who or what you believe in or how much of anything you have. I care about the kind of human being you are. The content of your character. I also think ALL sides need to be tolerant of each other. I'm happily 56 so I have had to be educated A LOT to keep up with all the changes our society has gone through. When I was a kid, there was a trans lady in our village. No one really talked about it, outloud at least. It was whispers and stares. This was the early 70s. Same with gay people. Only by asking honest questions and being lucky enough to have been given straight answers, by EDUCATING MYSELF, did I change the way I saw things. People fear what they don't understand. Asking questions doesn't make you phobic, it means your actually trying to learn something. The more you know 😉

    People get labeled as transphobic and shit constantly. Hell, my partner is only attracted to transgender women but they have to call themselves asexual as there is no label for this, mainly because of A) people crying wolf and B) too many people fetishizing us. Our communities aren’t really communities anymore, we’re pitted against each other anymore. I tried to post something explaining how gender fluid isn’t a thing, and this SJW who believes age play/regression is pedophelia told me “Well how do you explain DID/MPD?” Honestly, the conversations surrounding us have left me with no hope for humanity anymore.

      Education > Cancellation.
      Ignorance =/= Hate or Bigotry.
      Shunning humans doesn't fix shit.
      I usually ask pitchforkers this "what matters more? Your convictions or your ego? Bc if it's not the latter, then patience and education should be the go-to answer."
