Yes, this is typical dog behavior. My impression is that they are overwhelmed, in this case with seeing people the dog has not seen in a long time. It's like hug and pet me and I'll lick your face but nothing can be enough.
I remember before I got a dog years ago that I had one promise to myself. I had one job: Never ever talk in "dog language" / "baby language" to my dog. I told myself it was stupid. However, after owning a dog and losing it I know exactly why people use that voice. I did it too. :')
+DamaOscuraDeTodos . I talk to dogs like you would to a puppy because it puts them in the "puppy ego state" the same way your tone of voice can put an adult in the "child ego state", it makes them relaxed and happy.
It's clear he hears their excitement over him, and he is loving it, I looooove people who speaks to their pets in this voice, it is the same when you enter the maternity ward and into the newborn room, it is the same love!!!!! It is true love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I lost my dog about a month ago now. Saying goodbye was one of the toughest experiences I've ever gone through. It's still very difficult for me to think that she's gone, I'd find myself looking for her all the time afterwards, only to remember.. It's amazing the connection you develop with your pets. It makes me really happy to see dogs like this that are so loved and appreciated by their families. Enjoy every minute with your pets, life is too short. I was blessed to have had the great times I did with my dog.
Emily Beautifyy it's the internet. There are always trolls and hateful people in general. Is it really that hard to process??? All these comments saying "WOW WHO DISLIKES THIS UASHSDUOHDFO;AD" are getting really annoying and it's getting to the point where it's just spam. Deal with it. If anything, you're only giving them attention.
"Our dog Duffy was a rescue dog and he was badly abused before we adopted him. Over the years of living with him we noticed that he was pretty scared of most men and we found out that the previous male owners of him badly abused him, kicking and beating him so he had a pretty general fear of most men and deep voices. So we noticed that if we spoke to him in higher pitched tones that he reacted better and didn't act afraid."

I remember how I came for my dog after his surgery, he was so happy to see the family, it's hard to describe. He died later that day because of a heart attack. Pet's love and gratitude are some of the best and purest things we can experience, I hope this dog is still happy as after the surgery.
Dog is literally saying, 'I can see, do you know? The beautiful whining says it all. Thanks to clever vet team. For accomplishing however, to return of sight.
Hey MrDD, thanks for checking out the video! Do you mind me asking where you saw it? I'm just curious because over the past few hours I've been getting a bunch of "Linked Comment" messages. Thanks!
Benjamin May There was a FineBrothers video spoiling the "50 most viral videos of june 2014" this video was on here. well, at least that's what brought me here
What an incredible story. It just tugs at my heart to see and hear Duffy's reaction to having sight once more. The wagging tail and the cries of joy coming from a very loved dog says it all. He can once more see his "family". I do mean "family". He may be a dog but I'm sure he's part of the family. I live alone and my closest family member is my dog. Enjoy the rest of your life Duffy!
BEAUTIFUL VIDEO! What an adorable dog! This lovely creature just wants to give love and be loved. And we can see that he is so loved! He is crying from happiness. This video is so wonderful and heart-warming!
I'm thinking it's the constant droning of the baby voice coming from them all. I know they're excited, and that's how people talk to animals.. But it's still annoying. Now no need to hate on me, just saying that that's probably why some might dislike it.
how adorable :) I'm really happy for him! I hope he could see all the beautiful sceneries in life and his loving family for the rest of life. Bless him :)
My dog is going blind from diabetes as well. Makes me so sad. Hes so depressed now, all he does is sleep. I never see him wag his tail anymore either. Breaks my heart. Sadly, my family cant afford the surgery:/ Glad Duffy got to see again. Very happy for you guys.
This is so touching! This voice that the dog is making shows gratitude. God bless the kind people! Dogs set an amazing example to humans and they can teach us so much: loyalty, gratitude, love.
Things like this make me keep going in life. What an amazing video. Dogs are the most wonderful creatures in the world. Thank god he has you. Greetings from Mexico.
Thank you for sharing, Benjamin. I can feel the joy and excitement the family feels and I know Duffy must be really overjoyed. As for me, I shed a tear or maybe a few more than that. :-)
That is great news! Seems like a good friend. I know it must have cost a fortune, hope there are more vets out there that use sliding scale so others can get their dogs help too.
MetalsVidz, a dog's life is not worth more than a human, that is why they test new products and drugs on them first so that they can see if the new medicine or drug is not going to kill someone, I know that a dog has a different anatomy than humans but the basics are the same, so if a new product kills the dog or monkey because they use both animals in a laboratory setting, than the drug cannot get a FDA approval for human use, so you see a human life is worth more than a dog's life, we are scentian beings with souls not dog's, they are a lower life for! Sad but true!!
Would you like to be a part of our human testing initiative? The FDA can approve many products that haven’t been tested. Animals are a higher life form, humans are inhumane corrupt little assholes that run around corrupting the environment around them until one day they blow themselves up.
This is so amazing. I can just imagine how this dog must feel to be able to see again. His cries certainly tell it all. Soooo happy for this dog and his family.
He's doing great! He's enjoying his daily walks at the park with my mom and chasing squirrels in the yard. Basically he's back to his old self again. Thanks for asking!
im trying to hear the dogs reaction but cant because these fools are awww'ing so loudly. but its nice to see a dog so overjoyed with happiness. i like.
This dog was so happy after his surgery that restored his sight. I am grateful to the family for their love of him -- just like a member of their family. Thank you for being sure that this obviously much-loved doggy has an improved and great quality of life.
that wagging tail, without a doubt this dog is so happy. If it was a cat given eye surgery, it would just sit there, staring at you telling you "Feed me human"
Cats are just as affectionate dogs. My two cats snuggle with me and look for me always. Always that one person trying to diss cats. We get it, you don't like them.
@@FluffyNinjaArt My poor old cat is obsessed with me. She's 19 years old and I've grown to know her so well that I realize she's very intelligent and sensitive and I can easily hurt her feelings. I'm much more careful and tender to her than I was when she was younger and I thought "just a cat" I have a very, very precious dog too that's just a sweet as Duffy here, so I love them both too, dogs and cats.
As a highly intelligent redditor, I must say that those veterinarians are most definitely 'Good Guy Gregs' for doing such a wonderful job fixing that canine's eyesight. If they were redditors I would certainly upvote (reddit term) them.

The sound of a deliriously happy animal is the best sound in the world!! It is wonderful when modern medicine can bring back the senses when they have been lost through illness.
The dog is also crying because of happiness.

Ya nd dogs love that voice too it makes them feel loved
Then why is the Dog doin a high pitched tone itself, huh?
Every now and then I have that same doggy voice too with my two boys. They look at me with that "who the heck are you?" So I talk to them normally.

Lol.
Cheeeeeaaaaaaaah!
Haha thought I would scroll down the comments to see what people are saying about it and my man BxD commented on thus video. Laughed so hard!
Hmm, I better check the feeling level in the pool.

How could people possibly dislike this?!?!
Emily Beautifyy there are alot of people out there with no heart
Emily Beautifyy I think the baby talk was a bit too much for some people lol Even I had to mute the video to appreciate it without getting stressed.
Emily Beautifyy it's the internet. There are always trolls and hateful people in general. Is it really that hard to process??? I think they disliked the absurdly noisy people.
all the cooing/baby talk is a bit annoying. only reason I can think of
The outpouring of love from its owners was wonderful to hear. 😊
That dogs tail was going at 100 miles per hour. That's literally got to be the max speed of it's tail.
zaggers77 And it had to take some breaks in between 😂

Lmfao I’m too high for this

What kind of surgery did they do? Was it cataract or corneal transplant? Did not know that they could do that on dogs. What is the success rate?
Aw, little sweetie. Duffy has a beautiful loving family, so we know he'll be alright.

That's so adorable.
Thanks!
I can not understand how a person can do bad to an animal ..
+Matos David Like michael vick ?
Lololololololol...
IKR like the obscenely high pitched nonsense these morons are subjecting this dog to
Miserables without compassion ..

Man, all the pollen around here is making my eyes water.
What a coincidence! My apartment is suddenly full of pollen too and my eyes are watering like crazy!
Majestic Beard Duffy said the same thing when he saw the saint Bernard he got pregnant, woof,i didn't need to see how big she was
Gets me sometimes, too - even in the dead of winter.
Maybe ninjas with onions
How could anyone give a thumbs down to this video?! Maybe cats are getting on line?
It's gotta be cats, or my jealous kin.
Ray Reyes The only reason I'd thumb down the video is the annoying high pitched voices.
Rarilmar calls people "retards", says "cuz", and "they're" when meaning *Their
You kidding? Cats invented the internet. DUH.
Just kidding. Dogs invented the internet. NOT.

47 people disliked this? how can you not like this?
I was thinking what person(s) would dislike this.
Because you're a misanthropic miserable troll. You have to feel sorry for them, what kind of life that must be.
I'm thinking it's the constant droning of the baby voice coming from them all. I know they're excited, and that's how people talk to animals.. But it's still annoying. Now no need to hate on me, just saying that that's probably why some might dislike it.
the dislike button is not far from the like button, most dislikes were probably on accident. happens to me every now and then
catlovers maybe that think that this is a war between dogs a cats (?)
Oh he's a darling. So happy and loving. I want to cuddle him!!

I understand but sometimes you have to talk with your family even if you dont like to...
I don't believe I'm related to you, and I'm sorry for your parents burden
Anthony Paiva Yes you're right, im not related to an inbred such as yourself
I live in Malvern. What a great center that place is. I take my two pups there. I am so happy for Duffy. Give him all my love!
Thanks very much! Yes, the staff at VRC are fantastic! Last Thursday Duffy went in for a routine check up and they threw him a little party haha.
Aaaww, what a happy dog 😊

Both would be pretty cool, good video, lots of feels
