Specially enamored by Jhok Ranjhan, an indescribable burst of dynamism in sheer melodic genius. For me it counts as not only in the best two or three of Mekaal Hasan but best in what Pakistani musicians produced in that era. Would love to know how did this composition and arrangement evolved / came about, for this would remain a masterpiece for generations to come. I am no drummer but it seems for this song it must be particularly difficult to play, you can't miss even a little variation. Everything in this song seems a meticulously put mosaic. Very good drumming Gumby. And don't know what would you think but it seems that only a percussionist who has deep sense of our classical music as well as Western pop/rock/jazz rhythms will be able to do justice to Jhok Ranjhan.
