I also revisited this deck today - after a bit of testing I found I was having a bit more success going above 40, since you have so many starters and a decent number of mid-to-bad singletons you don’t wanna open. The biggest issue with going for a higher card count is you’re lowering your odds of seeing a maxx c counter. I was trying Droll as a sort of bad-but-serviceable maxx c counter that also works as a handtrap - not great into tenpai admittedly, but it does help stop the combo endboards that you can’t feasibly play into, and you can droll yourself pretty early whilst still getting ash search + a trap recycle + princess in grave.
@TylerTyyang literally just more handtraps - my list was pretty much the exact same as what is in the vid, plus 3 droll, a 2nd belle and a nib. I also tried a one-of flame buffalo, which you can summon off horse prince instead of ash to draw 2 and/or get salad names out your hand (there are combos where you bounce it to hand with miragestallio, then can discard itself for a draw 2) but it rly wasn’t ever coming up - theoretically it’s nice if you already open Ash but it often felt a bit win-more.
I played this game again for Salaman, since his new cards came out on my birthday and I wanted to learn how to play it better, two years ago I had deleted my account, without having learned to play well this game. I haven't played it for a while because I got tired of it, I used to play with the two Phoenixes. You're right that Pyro and soul aren't very good, it's easier for them to interrupt your play. Why don't you use the two magics that were next to Pyro Phoenix? (Charge and Will of the salaman) I have Falco in case they blow up my field card, although it's a bit difficult to take advantage of it. I have a bit of trouble following the video because I don't speak English and I watch it with Spanish subtitles. Thanks for the videos, the dedication and the positive, it helps a lot

Cards like Roar, Rage, Will, and Charge are only good if you can already combo and you don't want to see them if you bricked or go second (will is probably the best one to hard draw since it helps playing through disruptions the most but it's the only one that's also not an interruption itself). I usually don't play more than 2 s/t targets for Raging/Gazelle

The true FIRE deck. Salads best deck 🔥🔥🔥 That guy got 57th place in the Duelist Cup with PURE Salads?! That is insane! And the fact that he was inspired by Soulburner from the anime too is hella dope! Also Charge is pretty good too. If they somehow deal with any of your Salad Link monsters like with a kaiju or Super Poly or board breakers, you can just resummon back any Salad Link monster with Charge and then recycle two more fire monsters that is banished or from the GY (also good if they banish your Promethean Princess)
definitely wanna come back to salads but with the release of new mulcharmies, i will stick to race or lab just control decks. This list is solid but would have changed meer to nib for crossout target, since it is brick going first and u get minus 1 if u use its other effect but thats just me, keep cooking bro 💪
@@ayubabdikadir1166 meer comes up too often going 2nd as an extender when your normal summon gets removed. If I wanted Nib as a crossout target it would be Belle (but now the crossout target would definitely be Fuwalos)
I’ve always wanted to get back into playing salads after the new support dropping but there’s so many factors that have stopped me. A mix of the deck being powercrept and the fact that there isn’t a solved list that I could just run to get a feel of things without investing too heavily into more niche card options. Like seriously, can people make up their mind on wether fire and code of soul are necessary😭?
I personally don’t run lady debug. Assuming it’s the only starter you open with, it can’t full combo as lady debug is not a salamangreat so it can’t proc gazelle’s effect to summon on field after you search it. Salamangreat of fire is the better starter even if it locks you into fire. Usually the other non fire in the extra deck would be little knight, zealantis, and maybe cyberse wicckid. With 3 circle, 3 gazelle, 3 fire, 3 terrortops, and 2 cynet mining (optional) the deck is extremely consistent. You would simply replace the 3 lady debug with non engine.
If you can't combo with one Lady Debug you're doing it wrong. You re-link the first balelynx with Sanctuary into a second one in order to trigger Gazelle. One Lady Debug gets you the full combo of Raging Phoenix, Roar, Searched Ash, and Princess in grave. This applies whether you run Code of Soul or not because you either get the extra re-link from CoS effect later anyways or if you're just searching Ash then you do not even need to re-link with Sanctuary a second time since you can just hard make the second Raging Phoenix with Princess being a link 3

And while this line totally works, it's very awkward and if you can't access Code of Soul then you waste your field spell efft just to use a mid starter that doesn't play better into hand-traps, still takes your normal, and is completely out of archetype not triggering gazelle even if it resolves because baelynx getting negated means you lose that too. The only argument i can think of for playing it is for heat soul.

Using the logic you used to remove code of soul from the deck, you can apply the same logic to say lady debug is basically salamangreat of fire but not a salad name, both have the same purpose of searching gazelle(you are not running any alternative targets), and one can turn into balynx and other can't, i don't see why you would refute his statement of salad of fire being a better normal summon, to me salad of fire feels objectively better, the fire lock doesn't hurt much either
@@vivanmaurya Opening salad of fire is a weaker combo than Lady Debug. With debug you access salad of fire from your deck with Miragestallio so you can access BOTH when you start with Debug. Obviously you can't access debug if you start with salad of fire so you lose a body in the process and it also means that you can't do the 1 card combo that searches Ash whereas 1 Lady Debug can. (Idk what you mean you can't make Balelynx? It obviously can) It's also relevant for playing into boards going 2nd because you don't fire lock yourself as early so you have both S:P and Zealantis as options for breaking boards which you would be locked out of with Fire.

You are wrong, salamangreat is the best Deck and IT IS Tier 1. also salad is quite bothered by ash, only on the miragestallio though. huge chokepoint. (not for you though because you dont play the pyrophoenix field wipe version which hitting the miragestallio denies) you should really play the pyrophoenix version imo, much superior version as both traps alone usually arent enough, field wipe helps greatly
Rage and Pyro Phoenix are mostly interchangeable, Rage is actually better since it's chainable and not vulnerable to removal/called by on Pyro Phoenix. Most Pyro Phoenix builds don't even run Rage and run Charge instead since it insulates your board from all the removal and things that Pyro Code is vulnerable to.
@TheShapestofSnatches i disagree with that decision though, i usually end on both rage + roar + pyro phoenix, you dont need to swap when you can have both. this turns super poly into a gane ending renoval BUT lets be real nobody runs super poly rn and you can isolate for that by just summoning an extra body through an extender which still keeps promethean on which then turns the bith traps back on when raging resummons. definitely worth it to run the field wipe
