- New generation of consoles means new arcade stick designs! Hori got in first with a design they cooked up for some time. That said, it might be for a platform that's not really preferred for competitive play. Is it still a stick to check out?

I picked this up because of the xinput and for playing arcade games, just came in and still in the box. It'll be my first fight stick. Great review 🙂 I subbed because I wanna see more contollers lol
A quick correction: Hori did make one model of stick with easy opening, but it was quite expensive and not as widely available. The Hori Premium VLX had the panel open up towards the user, giving easy access to the lever, buttons and PCB.
Completely forgot about the VLX line since it’s been a bit since the most recent model. The screw in the cable compartment probably made me not consider it.

Rather than using the Device Manager, I can swap the button wires, for example--
Square, Triangle, L1, L2
X, O, R1, R2
_or_
X, Y, LB (White), LT
A, B, RB (Black), RT
...which it's the perfect arrangement for the Brook Wingman SD (Saturn and Dreamcast) and the Brook Wingman SN (NES and SNES).
Does anyone know a solution or how to reset the arcade stick when the function button doesn't work? I accidentally changed the profile with the function key without setting another profile, and the arcade stick immediately stopped working. When I press the PlayStation button and the share button together, the LED blinks and it works again, but the function key still doesn't work, and I have to press the PS button and share button together every time I connect it to make it work. Hori Device Manager on PC is still not compatible with arcade sticks, so I can't set keys on PC. Anyone know a solution?
This might be the one I get, still deciding between this and the etokki Omni
Just bought this Stick to play SF6 on my XBSX. I have 3 TE sticks (1/2&S) but I prefer this stick over them. I really like the Hayabusa parts and don't feel the need to swap them out. Overall, you can't go wrong with this stick if you're on XBSX/S, or PC. Very responsive.

Does this stick have a square or octo gate?
Bought one of these in January 2023 and it worked well until this month (November 2023)
It starting turning on by itself if left plugged in and now while playing its starting to disconnect and reconnect randomly
I am handicapped and can only use joysticks to play games. Does anyone know how to program the right stick button on this arcade stick? You can program the stick for left stick and D pad. There is a button labeled RSB but it seems not to do anything when I press it
What type of stick is the original. I would like to get a sawna stick thats the exact same size and length. The stick is prefect besides the spacing between the lever and button
It does fit a sanwa lever? I read Ppl saying it's not fit, and others saying it's fit perfectly

A bit late on this, but I've got a Nobi lever inside my Nacon Daija and it fits with no issues; you'll need to remove the little notch that centres Sanwa sticks (you'll know what I'm talking about if you've already fit k-levers to the stick) but other than that it's absolutely fine.
How it's the lag for the ps4 versión of this one?
lol people really need to get over the xbox one generation... games (including fighting games) will probably run better on the series consoles in terms of input latency.
I believe the same he basically said the only down fall is it’s made for Xbox lol

I have a question, Can i put on this 6 pin connector, every 5 pin equipment? This connector work like normal 5 pin conector? I just wanna put CardiMod WASD on this but I am not sure that fit here.
Is installing a crown 309mj or crazydongpal lever is plug ang play? No need to file down or shave anything? I've seen some post on reddit claiming they had to file the inner bottom part or something like that

hello, Why is that the Bullet NOBI wont fit on the Hori alpha? is it that the lead wont close if the bullet is installed on the HORI ? I am really woried about it cause I was planning to instal the NOBI on a alpha that i just ordered, I have a SS mountting plate compatible with the Nobi bullet will that mofdification be enough ? yo you save close to 4.5 mm installing the ss plate

can you just plug sanwa jlf into this stick? sanwa has 5 pin while this stick use 6 socket instead of generic 5 socket pin

Ik this is late but maybe it will help someone else. Depending on the game your playing you might have to move the switch to mode 2 instead of mode 1. Usually for older games.
Looking to buy this today, does it also work on PS5, have Series X & Pc too but wanna use it for Street Fighter 5 & GG:Strive on my PS5 too...

This is Xbox ver, you need to get the one support PS4, PS5 and PC that release by this year, that one is for SONY Ps4 n ps5
They make one for playstation now but if you get the Xbox one you would need to buy a brooks adapter

The design seems awkward. I’m more used to the rectangular shape if the stick then a square.

A version of this was already announced for PS5 with guilty gear branding.
Note: The pressing of the share button and recording a clip DOES NOT cause you to stop playing and delete the clip. You did that on your own accord. Simply recording a clip does not disrupt your game play in any way
So it doesn’t work for PS4

The stick being made for xbox is not a con....keep the fanyboy-ism outta the product review....especially since they make the exact same fighstick for Playstation
Yeah I don't understand the negative on that end. Most tournaments are even hosted on pc these days.
And PS5 would continue to "dominate" if we let comments like yours in the video to continue to spread out.
I legit don't like the idea of a shitty console taking over again, and its funny considering it does awfully in input delay, and we as the FGC don't mention it as frequently.
I already said that as a TO in Mexico, I'm not using PS5's at all in my career here, period, there is nothing outside of Strive, and the PS5 version is already confirmed to do the worst out of the 3 platforms it is available.
"No offense to PS5 players", but having a single game where the inferior console does... well you know... you don't want to support said product.
Those eras of the XOne getting online only are long gone, it's been more than 7 years at this point since that, get over it, even games such as Melty Blood were released on the Xbox, and getting a Series S is 10 times easier than getting a PS5, and you have a superior console all around.
Still, I like the review, outside of some seemingly PS Fanboy comments in that last part, the overall review was pretty nice.
