    I'm an English student; within the next couple of years, I'll have a PhD in it. This is agonising - her inability to use commas, brackets (parentheses) and apostrophes correctly is unacceptable in a PAID-FOR document. If she was writing a blog post, fine - but when someone is paying you to provide a text document, that document had better be as flawless as you can possibly make it. That along with her inability to form a coherent argument or make a consistent point is incredibly irritating; why does she constantly contradict herself? It's maddening. I've seen better from high school students. The highest grade I would give this is a D-, and that's being generous. Thank you for taking one for the team and shining a light on this scam, you're truly providing an informative (and entertaining) service❤

      While I normally hate being THAT guy - especially since I agree with your comment for the most part - your use of em dashes and semicolons doesn't seem correct to me. Almost all of them constitute an independent thought, and so could have been better presented as actual sentences. Perhaps I'm wrong, since unlike you I'm no English expert. It just seems to me like you went a little overzealous with your sentence structures and punctuations since you're criticizing someone else's grammar.

    • @izzyclare_
      @izzyclare_ 7 місяців тому +4

      @@jaimestark3019 Don't worry about being 'that' guy, that's totally cool! My use of semicolons and dashes is technically correct, however, you're right that my use of them is a little extreme; that's just one of the features of my writing, to be honest. I write differently in professional or academic work and always check that my grammar follows technical language guidelines and structures as carefully as possible. I appreciate your feedback though, it's always nice to know how my writing reads to other people!

I write like I talk and put thoughts into parenthesis to clarify stuff. But maybe it is just a thing that I adapted because I feel misunderstood all my life. For ebook vs. e-book, from what I can see, it comes down to style guide and regional differences. It can be without the dash, but it looks like American style guides (such as the Chicago Style Guide) prefer the dash in there. Assuming this "expet" (loved that typo) is from the US, then yeah, she should probably be using the e-book stylization of the word in this guide.

      I'd just reframe it as not so much an offer to sell it back, and more of a warning that she'll never see the corrections if you don't receive cash payment in non-consecutive bills in a train station locker next to a man wearing a parrot costume. But that's just me after one heck of a week.

    I think that you would be a great course consultant tbh. These reviews are actually very honest and constructive. I'm a huge course fan- didn't buy this one but have taken other courses that I saw real results from. I think there are really great courses out there but do also think there should be a system of checks to register or certify create a course because the bad courses really make the whole coaching/course industry seem bad. A few courses I took led me to quit my 9 to 5 for the past 3 years so I think there is good things out there but there's unfortunately more bad than good. Also, not everyone needs a course. I learned a lot on UA-cam and once I made more money I invested into a mentor that scaled my apparel business that I honestly don't think was possible without a second opinion/trainings that you can't get for free, only through experts. Everyone is different though!

    I'm finishing my accounting program and doing taxes professionally and I can't tell you how bad the advice given to make your business an S-corp is for most small business owners. For one, the IRS DOES require you to put yourself on payroll if you're making any money (because other distributions are taxed at favorable rates, the salary must be reasonable and appropriate to your industry) and none of these people urging you to do tell you that you have to file an 1120-S as well as your 1040. I've talked to several small business owners this year who have made their businesses into S-corps and had no idea they had to this. Some of them were several years out of compliance!

    Listening to you talk about financing stuff is weirdly entertaining and even if I am in no way going to use it as someone from Sweden. I do also find it so interesting how the culture with talking about taxes is so different form where I am where taxes are a good thing. And seen as more positive and people complaining about them are seen as greedy. Not saying that is your case or that I am reading that in what you are saying. You have your reasons and also I know enough about USA politics to know I don’t really fully grasp not having trust in your government.

    I used to watch Jordan yearrrrrs ago, mostly to watch her meal prep and fitness videos. Her audience really related to her back then. She was a single mom who showed others how to save money, showed how to meal prep, dupe videos for expensive products many couldn't afford. Also, everyone fell in love with her son. Ppl were definitely rooting for her. It seems like she definitely changed over time & started going downhill when she was selling some ebook or course? I honestly don't remember. I was absolutely shocked and disgusted when I saw the clip of her son in the car. It's wild how that was left in her video and she just exposed herself.

    The bad grammar might be a feature not a bug. Scammers use it to screen out people who are too educated and attentive. That way they don't have to start engaging with people who eventually will figure out the scam.

    The parentheses is a tell tale sign she uses a blueprint herself. Usually they are there for you to add your own stuff and maybe she forgets to remove them. She has had the same mistake on her OG website about her old business. She has ALWAYS rushed through all her stuff that she sells because she doesn’t take it seriously. Spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, forgetting to properly edit her UA-cam videos…. She’s always been that way and she hasn’t changed.

    Good tip (from CC, not the hun) on using your business email to sign up for things… but something else the hun doesn’t seem to have thought about is… the time it would take to create all these accounts only to find the business name isn’t available… makes much more sense, and common sense at that, to check the business name first.

      The original meaning of ‘hustle’ in our current vernacular was pimping or pushing drugs. It has an undertone of dark doings.
      What she is doing is harming young women in multiple ways. First by setting an example of lazy, poorly researched, and poorly presented work. Second by scamming them. Thirdly by basically saying it’s fine to steal the work of other people with no acknowledgement or permission.
      There is nothing to respect.
