Gotttt em’! Good job lover, so proud of you!
Thanks baby!
I agree with what you said about not being afraid to switch it up and try something new. My best successes have taken place after switching it up.
Lets go small changes make big changes!
To God be the glory!! So awesome to see a believer being open and loving Jesus out loud! Not to mention super informative and you can tell you're glad to teach and share your knowledge.. Got my sub man!
Thank you so much! This is my favorite comment on I have ever gotten god is so good!
I live over in vale Oregon just across the border of Idaho, if you ever feel like mixing it up I can get you on some monster flathead catfish and some beautiful brown trout man, and of course do some fellowshipping as well!
@@JCoy60 That sounds awesome, I will hit you up next time I’m down that way. I was born and raised in Oregon and when in high school we wrestled Vale all the time. Again brotha thank you and good bless!
Heck yeah man do! I'll take you anytime. And that's awesome, I wrestled for vale from 05-09 at 215. Anyways God bless man, I hope your channel blows up and you continue to use your platform to spread the good word.
Loved the video Brother. And I agree, fishing the mouth of the Wind at sunrise is definitely a gift from our Creator. I live about 20 miles away and can have my boat in the water in 30 min, but i have never take living in the gorge for granted, i am in awe every single time im on the water.
Jesus, family, and salmon fishing on the mighty Columbia! My three favorites.
God bless you and your family!
Thank you so much! Wow that is amazing! It’s definitely gods country down there. God bless you brother!
Way to be, brother. I'm hooked on your fishing enthusiasm and education!! Fish On!
Thank you so much! Tight lines!!
I had so much fun on this trip, when you told us about that guy talking trash about your wrap I LOVE IT!!!
Missed you when you were gone, missed you to Nash when you went that one day!!!!!!
I love you girl! Thank you! Haters gunna hate!
Loved the video , awesome fish ! Sounds like a Fun trip 👍🎣
Thanks mom! ❤️
Great job!
Great fish, I'm glad I've found your channel. I'm 56 and just getting into fishing, so I appreciate all your videos.
Hey brother, thank you so much! So much more to come. Its never to late to enjoy the amazing world of fishing best thing that has ever happened to me!
I was guiding from 1978 to when covid came that wrecked my work for the travel bans and all of the BS that came with covid.
Then my 87-year mothers' dementia has advanced making going back to work guiding even more of a problem for caring for her so leaving for long periods of time isn't possible now.
I am wanting to start a fishing school to teach how to fish Salmon & Steelhead & Pike Minos to make money on the Pike Mino program.
For the Columbia R I am using a 19-foot Dory I finished in spring 2023.
I own a 30-foot jet boat but the fuel cost to run it makes using it impossible, so the dory was built to run a 40 hp outboard that breaths gas fumes.
If anyone is new to this kind of fishing, then needs fishing lessons on how to do and where to go at times of the year messages me then we can go to privet email.
I also have an Instagram account I can be contacted on @ dwayneb1959 There are photos here also.
I do Washington streams and above Oregon city falls fishing on the Willamette like from Canby with the confluence of the Molalla R and Newburg where fishing is done around the Yamhill R and spots above to intercept fish heading for upper Willamette R streams and hatcheries.
You can learn summer steelhead fishing the Columbia in addition to salmon fishing Colombia.
Watch UA-camrs Video's called fishing the Odds for summer steelhead fishing the Columbia R so you can learn where this spot is just above the town of Cathlamet Washington leaving point for this fishing is West Port Ore.
You can learn about the fishing the lower Klickitat.
I will offer fishing lessons on the Cowlitz - N fork Lewis.
Need help just ask !
Love a God focused channel 👌
Thank you!!
Love the energy buddy. Subscribed
Thank you so much!
Nice
Safe tactics........would include a nice auto inflate life jacket.
That gorge wind 💨 when it picks up its like fishing in the ocean on a tiny boat lol 😂. Same for us Idaho fishermen down at the confluence of the clearwater in Lewiston that wind can be killer.
You are not kidding at one point I thought I was gunna be swimming hahha
@@walkingonwaterfishing i used to live in Oregon so that wind is unreal. I travel that way quite a bit to visit family and every time i see boats out there with like 1 foot white caps i am like NOOOOPPEE!!
Great fish buddy
Thanks man!
Good video and fish…springers up here on the clearwater is a total zoo,,,the fall run on the snake at clarkston is a fun fishery.
I will be there this year for spring and fall! I’m super pumped to get after some fish
@@walkingonwaterfishing you will do well!

Imagine commenting something negative (& offensive) on someone’s positive fishing video. Find something better to do with your time.
Giving credit where credit is due. God’s creation is awesome!
So true brother!
IS the LAKE STILL FULL of DRANO ?
Nice springer, Cole!
Idaho fishing buddy application being put in! Great catch brother. If you ever want a fishing partner hit me up. I’m loaded and ready to roll! 🎉
Nice job!!! What date was this again?? Man, I gotta go fish this area soon, nicely done!!
This was this week
Brotha! 18th and I got one one the 19th
@@walkingonwaterfishing love it!!
Congratulations on your success and thanks for sharing.
It’s confusing about whether you can fish with two rods with an endorsement at the mouth of the Wind. The WDFW app says two rods are prohibited, but the special regs for the mouth of the Wind say it’s permitted. The Emergency Rule in effect for the mouth of the Wind doesn’t say anything about whether you can or can’t fish with two rods. I called the Emergency Rule Hotline for SW WA and the recording doesn’t say you can’t fish with two rods. BTW the WDFW app says you now can fish fish with two rods at Drano. Anybody have anymore insights on fishing with two rods at the mouth of the Wind?
You can fish with two rods at the wind the wdfw app is reading incorrect I called them and they confirmed that when they dropped the keep limit down it messed with the app! The handbook says two rods and thats what they are going off of. For Drano you can not fish with two rods until may 1st
Thank you so much brother!
WDFW Need to get there shit together hahah
You’re right about DFWF - they’ve created confusion at Drano too - the app says you can now fish with two poles, but the special rules say you can’t until May 1!
@@kenmarble3390 They need to cordinate the app with the book hahah sheesh!
What are the regs on 2 rods? 😂
I started at wind River lol
I only fished one at drano 😂
Whens the next video 👀
20 min
Jk posting now!
Where's your life jacket😮
Close by 100%
Buy an inflatable lifevest, best 100 bucks you'll spend in that boat.
I will do so!
At fishermen's these vests are $165 with one that automatically inflates when touching water and the other has a pull cord.
I did buy one that pops when touching water.
If money's tight grab an onyx when fisherman's has them on sale, usually 79-89 on sale. Pull cord only I believe.
@@colingreupner4392 I will have to do so! Ill be looking for the Onyx!
@@dalebenson6859 Thats extremely smart so you hit the water and it auto deploys?
Not a fan of your video approach with the corny hotel content and the upbeat, enthusiastic camera talking the whole time, and constantly saying "GUYS!" like we're all your subscribers and here on purpose. Clicked on your video to see if any fish were being caught at Drano yet, but honestly it was hard to watch.
For someone that I have so much in common with (on paper), I don't really understand what you're doing - the attention craving style of this video was pretty cringe. It's not high production to copy other corny youtube tactics. If you want to film your fishing trip and show what you're using, cool. Doesn't need background music or hotel shots or commentary. Maybe chill with the youtuber persona and you'll spend less time "editing" and more time with those 5 kids you mentioned.
hahahahhahaha
Considering most men work long hour jobs, I think a couple hours editing a week is pretty minuscule compared to the amount of time spent with his kids. He served this country for people like you and me, and earned the right to spend his time doing what he loves. Based on your comment, you sir may need to do some soul searching and find YOUR happiness because you’re clearly unhappy. Don’t like the video? Don’t subscribe, but don’t subject people to your negativity and hate. God is good, we’ll pray for you :)
@@walkingonwaterfishing laughing at the idea of copying the youtube garbage that you think will feed the algorithm and calling it "being authentic."
Also, you can't be both Christian and postmodern, as those two belief systems are pretty opposed. But sure, you do you, as you said.
@@joelchristopher190 god knows my heart! Have a good life bud!
Bragging and big mouthing a fishing spot is so stupid. You will learn by doing this you ruin it for yourself and others. Obey the law too. You can't use two rods until May.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I used two rods at the wind river than 1 at drano read the laws! There are 1000 Drano lake videos on UA-cam
Someone clearly didn’t watch the video 🙄
Washington Fish and Wildlife app says 2 Poles are “not allowed” at the Wind. The app says it is allowed for inside Draino. I’m from Oregon, but typically WA and OR have the same rules for the Columbia. I don’t know of anywhere on the Columbia where you can fish two rods. But I’m willing to be educated to the contrary.
@@WilsonRiverPhoto look at the actual regulations your app has bad info! Grab the book go to wind River and it says two rods between march 16th and June 1st. 2023-2024
@@WilsonRiverPhoto Drano is 1 Rod until May 1st
I fish the Klickitat, so I am watching fish counts over the dam and waiting for more fish.
Going up the Klickitat R is smoking hot to fish first troll the dead water then go upriver and fish the holes with current with bait wrapped plugs or diver & baits.
That is freakin awesome, I would love to hit some of the lower Tribs for salmon! What time of year do they usually drop into the river?
@@walkingonwaterfishing There will be salmon in the Klickitat now in small numbers.
With the small boat you have you can make it into the lower gorge to fish Salmon for the Klickitat and salmon & Steelhead that pull into the gorge for cooler water and hang out.
one of the best ways to get clients fish after the day progressed to bright light was to go into the gorge to troll plugs and plugs you think aren't liked by salmon or steelhead such as the Speed trap for bass by Lure Jensen .
just above the first down shoot in the river is a fish staging hole right up against the tall rock wall.
Often turn off the boat motor then float through it and watch the fish scatter!
Your boat would make it up the run and be able to fish this run and the next one which also is a holed spot.
Around another 200 yards the river turns into a narrow rock walled channel you can back troll in or anchored fishing, I catch many fish here by anchored in the center then use my own spinners or plugs.
This before the big flood that changed the river here was the natives dip net site that no longer is used.
At the top of the lower gorge is a very deep hole on a Horseshoe bend that is fished well with bobber and bait.
before this is a rock outcropping the fish gang up at and it is a bobber - bait spot by you got to know it's there because looking at it you wouldn't guess it hold fish.
Trolling through there also catches fish.
In the gorge here the Coho pile up by the 1000x ! and like to take trolled plugs.
I have caught Coho here with a small plastic tag in the dorsal with the Idaho name and a number on the tag.
The fall Chinook is just the same and more salmon than spring.
If you want to have a place to fish to yourself with the boat this is the place.
@@walkingonwaterfishing Keep in mind the lower Klickitat in late June and to August is loaded with Idaho Steelhead in the spots I wrote to you about.
@@walkingonwaterfishing You can right now do well by launching at the boat ramp below the Deschutes in the park then in the Columbia and troll the water of the Deschutes all the way to the I-85 bridge.
The mouth of the John Day will produce salmon also trolling but more fish are needed for this time of the year.
above the John Day R is a Hwy turn off with an unimproved boat launch like 1/4 mile you pass under the railroad bridge to reach the Columbia R with boat
