welcome to the latest day in linh's life! kinda weird to think that there is barely a month (!) left in 2022, but i'm slowly easing into the holidays by trimming a full-sized tree, cooking my fav comfort/cold weather meals with friends, and wrapping presents for loved ones. even though the holidays look different for everyone, i hope we all get to spend time with the people we love this upcoming month, whether it be our biological and/or chosen families. come get ready for winter with me, and i'll be sure to update you as the apartment gets more christmas decorations in the future hehe. stay safe everyone!

tbh this is one of the first holiday seasons in a few years that i’ve actually been genuinely excited for. i want it to snow and to be festive and celebrate with my loved ones! it feels so nostalgic and comforting :))

tbh i love the holiday season cause it gives a sense of togetherness. even though not everyone in my family is here to celebrate, i can still sense their presence cause of the joy that they brought and the holiday season brings. when you mentioned hallmark movies it instantly reminded me of sitting down, eating cashews, and watching all the hallmark movie specials with my grandparents :))

(edit: OH MY GOSH THE ARGUMENTS! you bringing that up is so true cause like there is a romatizing side to the holiday season and then there is tension and arguments between family members haha. It happens a lot when its the night before and the day of Christmas for my family because of food prep, are we doing oldest to youngest or vice versa for presents, etc.)
Oh, I absolutely agree that it is a weird feeling to stay as a guest at your family's home. But sometimes that can be a positive feeling, too. I feel like the relationship between me and my parents weren't always the best, but when I'm visiting them now, we have different expectations and we get along much better.

Oooo I’m so glad I can give you a cooking tip! When the eggs are cooked, drain them, run cold tap water over them, drain again, swirl them around in the empty pot so the shell cracks, fill up the pot with water while the eggs are still in and finally peel them underwater. They’re so easy to peel now the shell will basically fall off immediately. Saves you a lot of time!
