The Easiest Way to Vlog | Family Vlog Setup

I've found that at times it can be intimidating to walk around in public with a large camera but I still want to capture family videos. Thats why I started using this method to capture family vlogs!

It’s also hard to vlog with kids running around and keeping an eye on them, the simpler the better when it comes to vlogging that’s for sure. I’ve been using my iPhone 15 pro as it’s in my pocket and shoot in apple log. Been having great fun

Thanks! I can relate to the intimidation factor. Great suggestions and personally want to have the long format that I have of myself as a kid in VHS. My LO is still really little but trying to get used to it now before she’s a little older and running around. Still good memories though. Thank you! Keep up the family focused content.

I got the Pocket 3 (per your recommendation) and used it at the Indy Children's Museum. Yeah, I felt a little weird at first using it but then I realized it's so discreet that most people didn't notice. And it's super easy to flip the screen off and slip into my pocket between uses.

Hey Zac, im really enjoying your chanel. I can really relate.
Do you just turn the camera on at the start of the day and let it run constantly? Or do you switch it on and off during the day?
Id be so interesed to know your backup and editing work flow of all of these long format videos. Do you literally save everything? Maybe this could be a new video idea?

I actually have some videos talking about those in the plans! But short answers,
1. I don’t film constantly but I try to film for 3-5 minutes segments when I feel like it’s a good time.
2. I pretty much keep everything, maybe I’ll cut out something here and there but not often. And I keep all the raw video files

Typically auto everything. I’ll set the color to D-log and I’ll usually film 23fps at 2k

Nice video, but there is a better camera suited for that, insta360 GO 3. I have one and use a lot to record my family. It came with all accessories in the package and you do not need to buy extra gear.

Skip this and film with your phone. It’s already in your pocket and people won’t think anything of you having your phone out. You can save a ton of time editing just getting those selective shots you want not have any extra gear or expense.

Phone is 100% a good option and for most people the option to choose. I personally don’t like the look of photos and videos from my phone but even more so find that I’m just not inspired to use my phone so then I end up capturing no memories. It all varies for different people
