The beautiful La Catedral by Agustin Barrios Mangoré. The piece was originally a two movement work comprising the Andante Religioso and Allegro Solemne, written in 1921. After years of performing it and correcting the work, Barrios added the gorgeous Preludio Saudade in the late 1930s.
0:00 I - Preludio Saudade
2:25 II - Andante religioso
4:23 III - Allegro Solemne

La Catedral is one of the most difficult pieces for classical guitar. I have seen most of the guitarists play this pieces on UA-cam but you are the best, most emotional and perfect player.
Wow. Wow. Wow....What a super performance of ''La Catedral'' it was. I was very impressed of this performance. definitely magical, especially the third movement. Million wow. Excellent technic, excellent purity and clearness of notes, plus excellent guitar sound. In one word, the video was something extraordinary. You are definitely a super giant artist. Million bravo.
i'm from Paraguay Agustin Barrio's Lands! awesome peformance! bravo!

Thank you, from Hungary! ❤

Beautiful and exciting as always ❤
Absolutely gorgeous Thomas! This is perhaps my all-time favorite piece of music and your performance here is just a joy to behold. Bravo sir! Of the many versions of this that I have listened to over the years, I would say that this is my favorite. Barrios would be proud.
One of the best version online. Clean and beautiful.
I really loved the projection of the sound. Sounds like this is exactly how it should be played.
Magnifique !
Fabuloso, Thomas!! Qué increíble interpretación!!! Abrazo desde Morelia, México!
What a moving performance Thomas. Your playing sounds worldclass. Hugs, Jimmy
Amazing performance. Wow, love it
Sublime !
Beautiful, great how you keep your right hand still in the allegro part.
Brought a tear to my eye...beautiful and expressive!
Amazing this is my favourite interpretation of this piece I love it
By far the best youtube version!! ❤
Bravo Thomas! Superbe! Merci!!!!
Just amazing! 👏👏👏👏
perfecto maestro estaa esperando esa version
Wow, Thomas! That was spectacular! Bravo maestro 👏

Just beautiful…

Your sound engineering skill is perfect! Of course it would be nothing without your beautiful play ... One day I expect you to share a video on your home recording stuffs from equipments to sound engineering.
Beautiful arrangement Thomas❤
Bellísima interpretación!!
Excelente versión, impecable!
Sensacional! Parabéns e obrigado pela partilha.😀
Stunning! Beautiful guitar too and very evenly played. In the third movement my thumb is always lacking, you've found a great balance. Bravo.

Wah! TU! 🎶💗🎶💗🎶💗
Ooooh Great, didn't breath once during Allegro Solemne!
My favourite Barrios composition and you performed it superbly Thomas. PS: that's a nice looking Les Paul in the background - maybe we will get to hear you play it one day?
I just finished writing a 3 mvt piece for it, will shoot a video of it later this year hopefully !
Thats an amazing performance.Your Smallman sounds as if its got very good sustain on the top E string compared to my Smallman but then again I'm only a plumber trying to play the guitar
Great performance ! could you tell me about this guitar you are playing, a cedar top? and back side? Thank you !
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Beautiful , how is the name of the Guitar ?Who build it ?
Bravo!
💛💐💛
🥇🏆❤🎉
👍
i like the accents
Thomas's sound is clear and beautiful because his right thumb is perfectly muted, and there is no muddiness caused by unnecessary reverberation. The planting of each finger on the right hand eliminates wasted movement and reduces tension, so the strings are played accurately and the sound is beautiful. I think this is La Catedral at the highest level.
Ana vidovic, eres tú?
Mmmm
Marvelous performance and sense of touch. Beautifully recorded, I'm going to have to learn more about this mic configuration. Are those two different AKG C414s?
Very interesting fingering and phrasing choices in the allegro. I do think the Emaj7 chord is a bit out of place in ms. 64 (depending on your arrangement). Of course there is a LOT of warble and warp on that part of the original recording, but it's most likely just an arpeggiated E7 according to my ear.
it's a mid/side mic technique
*promosm*
19th century right hand technique. Great thumb stops in the allegro.
