Yeah! I'm happy about how they put the run first, then comments/donations at the end. So if I *desperately* need to hear some donations in regards to this game, I can look up the previous run and hear the run-up. This GDQ crew has been on POINT with making the VODs.
I remember when I was a kid that I spent hours and hours trying to beat this game. The farthest that I reached was the park. This is an incredible gameplay! I think the only ones who are appreciate this gameplay, are the ones who spent a lot of time trying to beat it 😁👍

Game was brutal for me as a kid! I got as far as the park too. Great beat 'em up tho. Game introduced me to GREEN JELLY!

Beat this game several times, but not every try is guaranteed. Possibly the best looking Marvel game. Still can’t believe it’s by LJN. Definitely top 10 SNES game for me.

Furthest i ever got one this game was the first Venom level. This is incredible!
First Venom Level = "Shoulda picked Spidey instead, and fell off of the level". That's....that's the strat.

If I'm not mistaken, the AI is powerless against watching you crawl on the wall. Periodically shifting position but while moving they don't go to attack you. You can easily jump in between them and do the double smash it certainly requires more skill to work fluidly.
Both Venom and Spiderman's summons perform actions differently and serve as weaknesses to bosses differently. I made a chart for it in my notes in a video pulling this game apart. The only thing I could never figure out was the secret bonus room in The Chase where you follow DemoGoblin. Anyone manage to put that secret to rest?

I might've missed it, but was does getting down to 1 life have to happen so early?
It's way quicker to jump off the ledge a few times than to get beaten up later on.
It's to get Cloak summons easier during the Demogoblin fight without having to get beaten up for minutes. You'll start the fight with low health which makes sense with 1 life.
He does it so he can intentionally die on Demogoblin, after grabbing the Cloak icon, so he can continue, grab *another* Cloak summon, and then have enough to summon-skip through key parts of the game. (See: the Park. Which is butts.)
"Venom with a gun", he should check out Agent Venom. (It's Flash Thompson though)
