- We took a short Seacation on the Majestic Princess from Sydney to Eden and back.
As we had never been on the Majestic Princess before and this was only 3 nights we were determined to make to most of it.

WOW, that was quite a long que to get inside. You are right, Rob, it would have been amazing to see the Sydney sights as you sailed away. Hope you are both enjoying your cruise
Thanks Julie, we had a great time, as always. I think the long queue is because Princess has stopped using boarding time zones so everyone just turns up when boarding starts. Not sure it's a great idea, to be honest. I go to Sydney a bit for work and am pretty used to seeing the Bridge and Opera House. In fact I use the bridge as part of the course for my morning run when I am there. It is always special though to see them from a ship and from the air. Never tire of flying into Sydney and seeing them from above, it reminds me of when I first came to Australia.
@@robandalicruisetravel would you fly down on the morning of the cruise to avoid going to and from a hotel for the night? We are on the Sunshine Coast so it's really easy just to drive down to Brisbane for a weekend cruise :)
We were originally going to fly down on the morning of this cruise but I (Rob) was in Sydney for work the week before the comedy cruise and Virgin cancelled 4 flights on me coming home on the Friday. Eventually I had to abandon that flight and rebook a Qantas one in order to get home for the cruise. After that we decided we'd just go down there on the Friday night after work and if that went south we could always just hop in the car and drive down there.
@@robandalicruisetravel that's probably the safest choice. Imagine if you booked for the Saturday morning and they cancelled your flight :(

Ive sailed twice out of Sydney, both times with P&O. Loud, Hawaiian style 'sail away' shirts are definitely a thing 👍 maybe it's not on Princess cruises? Love your videos, but i have cruise envy as we don't have a lot of choice out of Fremantle. Flying east doubles the cost unfortunately 😔 looking forward to the next video! Thanks guys.
we have sailed out of Sydney many times and have never seen queues anything like that!
It's been a while since I sailed out of Sydney and I don't remember it being like that either. I think it is because Princess no longer have boarding slots so everyone just turns up at the time boarding opens.

How do you compare sailing out of Sydney head vs Brisbane. I cruise a while ago ex Sydney and remember going the heads was rough and did a few in. We are leaving Brisbane next year with the rest of the family as first time cruisers.
We have flown to Brisbane from Sydney to catch a cruise. We stayed at the Ibis ,which is the closest hotel. It was still a 20 min taxi ride. The cruise terminal is in the middle of nowhere. It's f***ing revolting & so freaking horrible, no shops for coffee whilst waiting. The view is absolutely revolting as well. It's a disgraceful view to show overseas tourists as well. Also no buses or shuttles go there. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
