Thanks again for dropping by the hangar on your road trip!! So much fun hanging out with you and your son, please come again soon 🙏🏻 Your videos are a big reason we caught the plane bug :)
Dang I remember watching you guys when you first started 4 years ago. You boys ever need any help I live over in cave Creek area would love to help would love to learn some things from you guys.
I’m a former commuter pilot (KingAir/Navajo) and A&P/IA (GA, F-5/T-38, F-18, Jet America, Alaska Airlines) and I was happy to seethese entrepreneur’s (Jimmy, Jeffrey and Chris) get together as I follow them all and I live in Pheonix, Arizona.
I am from Arizona too, I have seen these guys around local car shows and have been watching them for like 4 years now or more maybe. The collab I didnt know I needed but makes sense.
Is it approved to use an aircraft hangar for car storage? I thought the FAA had rules against non-aviation use of hangars on airfields that receive federal funding.
I’m laughing so hard! I discovered Jimmy’s World and JR Aviation a month ago and have been Binge Watching both ever since! I take care of 2 Special Needs Daughters all week and need something to cheer me up! Glad that Jimmy’s Half Million Subscribers have met Jeremy and Christian. Such Fun, now JR Aviation is going to get a Boost in Subscribership!
Very cool to see you get together with the JR Aviation/Garage boys, some more of my favorite content creators. Enjoyed seeing your reaction to these guys being so young and already having such a vast collection of exotic cars.
Hi Jimmy - I’m a subscriber and have enjoyed your videos from the beginning. I think your formula of locating and attempting to breathe life into derelict aircraft - even (or especially) if the average pilot/person thinks it’s nuts - is genius, a ton of fun, and feeds the fantasies of aviators, armchair and otherwise, of stumbling across a genuine barn find. But lately your formula seems to have changed, and the sense of crazy adventure has been replaced by ads for a range of products, and you have basically become a salesman. I’m sending this lengthy note as I hope your obviously prosperous channel can return to its wild and crazy origin story. There are enough ads on UA-cam - I don’t need them built into the story. Cheers Mike
I want the red Ferrari or the black convertible one but i’d put a stock exhaust not fan noise. My dream car has always been a white testa rosa from the 80’s
I've got a jar full of coins from all over SE Asia when I was in the Navy (70s)... I'll have to check them out. I see the Bros have some 914s, love those.
I started working as a courier in like 2000 something, early 2000s summer while having a break from studying and here we still did not have smartphones, well, a young kid like me just starting to work did not have it and it was a new thing, did not use navigation unless you were driving to a different country and most still would use maps. You had to drive a week to learn the routes and then you would just work and learn - just memory. Internet in the phone was new too, it was just beginning. But that map thing reminded me of family road trips when you could really get lost when going somewhere the first time at night. That Aston looks like a really nice car, love the design. Some young promising businessmen, an interesting episode.
I remember my parents looking at the ring bound maps and picking different routes each time we drove to florida. We had our 9 inch VHS TV bungee corded in the van. Oh the old times
Hey Jimmy as you already know the JR guys are good people and me being a Retired Airline Pilot from AZ that follow both of your channels promoting GA in any form is awesome to see.
Thanks guys, made my day. My mum collected 50 cent coins...they had high silver content...eventually the mint cut back on the silver...so her bag of coins now worth a bundle. Seinfeld is a Porsche fan. Maybe get some medallions made... limited edition....? Great camera work (Silas?)
They’re actually two minutes walk from where my hangar and airplane used to be. I had one of the City Hangars right by where Jimmy was pointing at while looking down the runway. At the time when I bought the plane (and the hangar rights of course) there was a 25 year waiting list for one of those hangars, 10 years ago. I got ticketed once for parking my motorcycle inside the hangar next to the airplane. With City Hangars they were super strict, with privately owned ones they were not.
LOL yup, i leave for a road trip, my atlas comes with me. never know when those electronics go out. I do the same with my boat. never leave the dock with out the hard maps.
Man that is such a kick butt car collection. I tried to flip cars/trucks when I was younger but couldn't make money and always wanted to keep the ones that could. Now I've got 13 vehicles and a huge shop with 3 lifts to stack em. Tried making shelves but the ramp made it to difficult unless I removed an entire wall. Looking for a car lift or maybe I'll build a mobile lift and stack em like wood along the walls. Trying to build a mobile rotary platform but it gets stuck behind other cars.My dream is to ride/drive a real Tucker Torpedo at least once. Own a Ford GT40 and a Coyote kit car with a twin turbo BIG block. I'll probably crash and die in the GT40 so maybe I'll try and borrow one. I'll pay someone to let me drive your GT for a couple hours, can anybody out there help me out? You'll probably get most of the pieces back once they scrape it off wherever landed.
nice one Jimmy - you got to meet G & C, i have watched these boys playing cars for a while now, less so recently as i have so many channels to watch, mostly aviation stuff - it be pretty cool for you to do some work together besides you tube content - their background is mighty interesting and so are a few of their friends including their pilot chums when they get to fly so many different aircraft, its all pretty inspiring stuff, the coins, the cars, the planes, even football cards i seem to remember i love the bickering between J & C, always a giggle, sell, no no yes sell, get rid and buy more projects haha the story and rebirth of German car manufacturing is pretty damn cool, and was partly due to a British Army officer of the time who helped to rebuild the industry, staring with checking out the factories, making sure they got what was needed to continue business, beginning with VW, Audi of course, and this spread throughout to make Germany a world leader in design, look where they are today, mad, but the entire idea was not based around the cars themselves, it was to give Germany employment the bands look mostly British, Mumford and Son and Florence and the Machine, a couple of my favourites personally, been out the charts for a while, living on their earnings, probably living in a town near you guys if they got sense, Mumford were very very good, try 'em out

Yeah when you're a kid you can become extremely obsessed with things and if you've got a coin book you just feel like you got to fill the coin book with all these different dated coins and you have to go and find all these different dates and pretty soon by golly you did it..... And then you find somebody that is just absolutely got to have that collection and you can sell it for thousands and thousands and thousands
The 996 is cool, especially if it comes with the hard top. I'd stay away from the Bentley LOL. +1 vote for the LS swap airplane. The call-in buyer in the Elvis Jet auction video was a red flag, for sure. I dealt with water damaged electronics in a Boxster 987 - NOT FUN.
I’ve owned a 99 Gen 1 996, (fried egg headlights), and a 04 Gen 2 996 (turbo headlights) . The IMS bearing issue is completely blown out of proportion on these cars, but the Gen 2 was better in just about every way possible in my opinion.
Very interesting, thank you for the input. I drove a late model 718 - it seems with Porsches that the newer they are, the more exponentially better they get. One of my dream cars is a new-ish 911 Turbo S.

Is it approved to use an aircraft hangar for car storage? I thought the FAA had rules against non-aviation use of hangars on airfields that receive federal funding.
As long as that use is ancillary to holding an airplane, it's ok. Obviously that's not this use shown.
It looks like their hangar is off the field. I believe that gate was the border. So the hangar is on private property, with access to the airport.
@@ripn929707 that's called a through-the-fence access. Has it's own set of rules.

I hate that they use a hanger for storing cars
Why?
Because there is always a long waiting list for hangers. You can store cars anywhere. But not airplanes. Use the hangers for what they were built for.
That's what I was thinking to are the not for airplanes they are not for cars and junk
Car needs a low humidity temperature controlled environment.
