The older I’ve gotten I learned to stay away from placing as much blush at the apples of the cheeks as higher placement does give a “lifted” look. Love the look you had in this video!

Wonderful results! Blush placement is fascinating. Kinkysweat had an interesting take: different placement for different shades of blush. She placed darker, neutral, almost-bronzerlike blush shades higher up and toward the perimeter for a lifted effect. This is a fabulous look! I agree with Megan, placing the blush higher vs the apples of the cheek absolutely lifts the face! I recently learned this trick and it really lifts any look I create.

The blush looks amazing! I’m 54 and heard about placing my blush higher but I didn’t know the rule for putting it on and it always ended up on the apples of my cheeks. I also have large pores and the rolling of the powder! Thanks so much for this video! Now I know how to put it on correctly to make my face look more lifted! More videos like this please!
This was so much fun! You look gorgeous! I do like the blush placement better, I am 10 years older & had to figure this out on my own. I don’t have tic tok currently, but plan to. After I turned 50, it seemed none of my tried & true make up tricks worked. I really had to relearn how to do my make up! Luckily, I’m pretty good with make up. I’m an RN, but worked in cosmetics in a upscale department store while in nursing school. I thoroughly enjoyed this & would love to see more in the future. Maybe a completely different look?! I’m impressed at how well you did just getting verbal instruction.

Like your make up looks lovely today, you've done something different, I really like your make up today. Generally there's nothing different in the way I've applied it but the outstanding quality of CT's products makes a huge difference.

I agree that putting your blush up higher on your cheeks makes us all look more lifted and younger, I've been doing it for a while now as I am older than you Risa and it helps. I find if I were to still put blush on the apples of my cheeks while smiling, it wouldn't still be there once my face was 'at rest', lol.
Love this video! it's so fluid , love how Megan is so focused on giving only useful directions without some unnecessary jabber . The fact how Risa is "muted" is also great (!) I'm saying this not in a mean way :)) and she's following the tuto , the editing , it's just faboulous ! The only thing I was disappointed is how Risa's eye shadow are quite pinkish,rosy and I dont get it why ? I have the same palette and there's no pink tone in it and for some reason I think it would've looked really great on Risa to change (for once) and have on her eyes more like Megan's eyeshadow colour . Big thank you both , you two are the best !

Mine might have looked pinker due to my pink top, lighter background and pink flowers. All of it together can create differences in how tones appear on camera.

Risa I have always been curious to see you put your eyeshadow on the lower lids farther down. I think that it would be so flattering on you. I have somewhat hooded eyes and I have found that doing my shadow like what Megan suggested really makes my eyes look bigger and prettier because all of my handy work can be better seen. Take a risk and go lower than you did in this video, don’t be nervous, it’s just makeup. lol 😍

I have high cheekbones and a square jaw and a makeup artist from Lancome suggest and put my blush higher and not so far forward or towards the center of the face. Loved this format.

Very pretty! I’m a fan of blush being placed higher as I feel it helps accentuate my cheekbones. I don’t typically wear eyeshadow or even “do” my eyebrows. I guess I’m lucky that I never overplucked them when I was younger. (Although sometimes I extend them a little - but not in the last year... no where to go!!)
