Got laid off from my job in December. Wanted to make a change so I’m joining the Navy. Going to MEPS on Wednesday. I’ll be 30 in exactly a month. Definitely going to be in bed early and NOT out partying.
I’m surviving. Boot camp was hell, but I was a unique case, and faced a lot of discrimination for being transgender. Being older also sucked, because my joints weren’t ready for the constant standing at attention, nor was my whole body ready for sitting on the floor constantly. After boot camp, it’s been a breeze. The A school galley sucks though, so if you’re married, you’ll luck out. Nothing makes sense, and all regulations are either convoluted and confusing as hell, or vague and confusing as hell. Everything is constantly changing, so nobody knows what is what, but at the same time, nothing changes, and we’re still running by archaic and draconian rules. I’m making $70,000/year LESS than what I made before, and I haven’t seen my cat in over a year now. Every day I question why I joined, but at the same time, every day, I’m thankful I’m no longer a call center slave.
Never Lied!😂😂😂😂😂. I need to be in the house before it is dark. Let's just meet for lunch🤷🏿. In my 20's, I would be running into gate to get to barracks and change for formation.
