  • "Jaylen’s Journey" is a three-part series chronicling a star lacrosse player’s comeback from ACL injury. When Jaylen initially got hurt over a year ago, she was frustrated that she couldn’t find anything online that actually showed her what to expect. So, we decided to make HER the unofficial spokesperson for young athletes going through this process. Part 1 and Part 2 on UA-cam have over 150,000 combined views and 150+ comments in the last year, which just goes to show how helpful it’s been to other athletes and their families. Real. Raw. Behind-the-scenes. Jaylen’s comeback may be complete, but her story is just getting started.

Honestly kind of upset at this type of videos! Like do you think everyone with ACL injury can have access to such beautiful facilities?? NO and of course we can recover well even thoug we do not have top notch bling bling super machine to measure degree by degree your every minute progress!!

Jaylen -My daughter just tore her ACL last night during her high school soccer game. She is headed off to college this fall to play soccer and she was devastated. She really identified with your videos and it has made her feel a whole lot better and given her alot of hope for her future as a soccer player.

I just finished the entire series and this was absolutely something I'm glad I watched. I'm on day 27 post ACL Reconstructive / Meniscus corrective surgery in my left knee. I'm progressing really well, but not as fast as I'd hope to. But seeing this reminds me that the long grind, the hard work, and consistency will all be worth it. I hope Jaylen is doing well!

I had multiligament tears (based on my MRI) last Jan 16 owing to a motorcycle accident: snapped ACL, torn MCL, partially torn PCL and LCL, meniscus tears and patellar ligament tears. I was devastated. Pre surgery rehab was not easy. the 1st 6 weeks were healing weeks and strengthening my affected leg. The next 6-week PT rehab was to bend my knee to 120 degrees prior to operation. I had my surgery last April 26, 2023: ACL replacement, MCL repair and meniscus repair. Luckily, my PCL and LCL healed and my surgeon decided not to touch them. Tendons were taken from my right leg for implantations to my left knee. I started my post surgery PT rehab on May 2 (Tuesday), starting with them basic exercises. I reported to Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital (Batac City, Philippines) 2x a week and did the PTs at home the rest of the weekdays. I walked with crutches. Last week, I started the motion exercises including biking and leg pushes over the gym. Today, May 23, I started walking without the crutches and the canes. My meniscus is still painful during the PT sessions with weights, but the exercises are still minimal, meaning, I take them one at a time and little by little. My goal is to totally walk with ease by June 1 and to go back to teaching work by July 2 this school year. It was a painful experience, I thought I could never recover anymore. After viewing your video, the more I am optimistic that this challenge in my life will soon be over. You and I are not alone. Thanks for the encouraging video. I enjoyed all the segments. Congratulations.

I'm happy for her but the average joe doesn't get such treatment at all, lol.

I tore my ACL, LCL and PCL. The ROM is the worst for me. I can’t get over it. I feel like I’ve hit a wall and I’m stuck at 60°’s…In the last video she talked about feeling awful and putting on a smile when ppl ask. I agree with that heavy.

I just tore my ACL about a month after earning my Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I was really sad at first but luckily it was just the ACL, nothing else. Your videos put my own recovery ans fortunate circumstances into perspective and I really appreciate it.
