Look into an ACL primary repair with an internal brace augmentation. Ive had 2 ACL surgeries on both knees. One was your typical ACLR with BTB Patella 6 years ago and the new procedure of ACL primary repair with internal brace. First procedure was a long recovery 9-12 months and was on crutches for at least 2 weeks. Second one was 3 months ago and I was already off crutches the next day with little to no muscle loss. Night and day difference.
Several major hospitals across the country. It’s becoming more popular now and more doctors are choosing this over traditional repair for their patients who are not past 50 days and have a clean enough break in the ACL
Look into ACL primary repair with an internal brace. More than 50% of ACL tears can be repaired as long as the tear happens closer to the femoral bone it can be repaired. Ive had both the traditional ACLR with the patella graft and ACLR primary repair on different knee. Its a night and day difference. I only used the crutches to get home from the hospital and the next day I was off the 🩼. Where as going with the traditional reconstruction, the recovery takes 9-12 months. As your leg muscles atrophy a lot and my knee was never 👎the same.
@@amir6323 I asked my surgeon about this surgery when I tore my acl. He told me the numbers on it are not good. People end up tearing their acl again far more frequently than a hamstring or patellar tendon graft.
It’s a ligament not a muscle. The blood has growth factors, should be PRP like in other demonstrations. Yes the ACL stump grows back within the bovine implant and over time it (the implant) resorbs into the cavity leaving the healthy fully grown natural anatomical ACL.
Thanks now I can do it myself
if i have a partial tear of acl for more than 50 days now, can i undergo this surgery by cutting my remaining acl and use bear to connect it.
Apparently according to the latest research you can but you would have to get an assessment to confirm.

@@FrancisBlanquera heyy I wana complete detail about internal brace for my husband please send your contact details
So is the recovery time still the same as the older procedure? 🤔
I wish this would’ve been available in 2009. Hamstring graft sucks
This bear implant would be a better choice?
@@frankiehuangjianwei469 no it isn’t a better choice. The re-tear rate is significantly higher than other grafts.

@@amir6323 because its Already been torn its very easy to re tear
Whats the purpose of soaking it with blood? Does the muscle grow into the bear implant?

Is it from a live bear?
No, from a dead cow
Which one will result to stronger ACL? Bear method or an ACL primary repair with internal brace?
athlets do pattela bone on bone graft because its the strongest
@@mohamed-e8w we’re not in 2015 anymore
@@FrancisBlanquera did neymar do bear when he tore his acl ? ok then stop talking
@@mohamed-e8w bear is shit. Im talking about ACL primary repair. As for neymar, given his age he will never be the same. Maybe 85% at most.
