Hi, what will happen if you turn the tube up side down while ball is spinning? How the ball will act on the flat surface like a table? Could you upload short video about it? Thank you :-)

@@SondaPower Then you will be looking for a ball for a long time. :)

The 11742 Hz frequency might be the resonant frequency of the container? What was the frequency of the AC signal? This two-pole synchronous motor RPM is 60 x line frequency of AC signal. The large hump at around 270 Hz would be close to 16,000 RPM. That sounds more like the design frequency of a hobby motor ESC. Typically designed for 300 to 400 Hz.

    Wow. Curious. Great job.

Build one big enough underwater and you can sink any warship or carrier without firing a single missile or torpedo.

If you put a drop of olive oil on it there won't be all that chatter and friction.

Random question is a whirl pool or a tornado like when u put the ball in the water, when spinning becomes a siphon? Or does it not affect it being completely sealed.

Great video. Do you estimate the RPM by the sound produced by the ball ?

With many decades playing with motors, I learned having low reluctance (resistance) flux path is very important for rpm.
    1. wrap your coils around ferrite rods (from scrap inductors) to focus the flux.
    2. Contain your ball so it can barely move around.
    3. place ferrite rods with coils as close as possible
Get yourself a low cost USB scope. My personal best 3.8Mrpm is only ~63KHz (revolutions per second)

Cool idea to figure out the rpm. I never would have thought of doing that. Any idea how accurate that method is?

For my measurements, the accuracy is quite sufficient.

Well Done! Your 300Krpm is the video I saw and I said "I can do more rpm", one month later I got to 1 million rpm, shelved it for a year, then restarted, 2 more months (all just messing around at work lunch hour) I got to my highest 3.8 Million RPM, equator speed was 1338mph (2153kph) at 24.3 Million Gs. Here is my rpm playlist
