THE SCANDINAVIAN is one of the songs of Zaine Griff’s early period. Its a song from his first solo album ASHES AND DIAMONDS, recorded autumn 1979, produced by famous producer Tony Visconti, who produced many albums of T-Rex, Marc Bolan, about half of the albums of David Bowie and albums of many other wellknown artists.
The intro to the song, that starts Zaine Griff’s show in The Water Rats is the song ‘Moonlight In Vermont’ from Zaine Griff’s The Helden Project // Spies album, he released in december 2022: a magnificent album; the complete remake of the 1983 Helden Project recordings of Hans Zimmer and Warren Cann, Zaine Griff was involved in and did vocals of most of the songs. That project was never completed nor released, so finally Zaine remade and completed it, almost 4 decades later! It’s an album that cannot be missed in the collection of anyone who loves new wave, Eighties music, electronic synthesizer music or the music of Zaine Griff, Hans Zimmer, Warren Cann or Ultravox. The Helden Project // Spies album was released on CD by Sony Music Japan. It’s available at Japanese webstores, or digitally at major webplatforms.
THE SCANDINAVIAN always was Zaine Griff’s opening of his live shows since the early Eighties: it’s a majestic song!
