At one point I had like 80 coffee mugs lol It was crazy I couldn't just throw them away. So took photos of them all, writing in the child's name, then they were donated to the Disabled Veterans Chapter in town for an a fund raiser. Saved my very first mug tho. Loved all your basket ideas saving this video of course, thank you!
I’m a high school teacher, I get tons of mugs and ornaments and lots and lots and lots of cookies/candy. So over these gifts:) best gifts I receive are the cards with kind notes or heartfelt gratitude for their love of my class! Free! That and $5 Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards!
Well who doesn't like gift cards cuz u get 2 chose ur own gifts. If ur complain about the gifts - regift/donate those 2 Sr ctrs, nursing homes, homeless shelters etc. At least they thot of u at all. I hate when peo complain about gifts when there r so many less fortunate that get zip zilch nada
Thanks for the reminder. I use to do this for a special cancer auction. I made it up to 72 baskets. I did 98% from the dollar tree store. Its fun putting them together. Now that i have a grandaughter the baking one you showed in the beginning would be great for my daughter and granddaughter to have a baking day. Thanks for the wake up call ❤❤❤ great job!!
These are all great ideas Kristin and I think the cookie dough in the jar is fabulous. As a retired teaching assistant I would have to lovingly say no thanks to any more mugs. The one thing we give to the elderly folks in our family (my uncle is 95) are cheese/crackers/pepperoni/salami baskets (& some sweets of course!) and a GC to get their hair cut. Consumable is great as people age and we often include a booklet of “coupons” good for shoveling, raking, errands, etc. They love these gifts, especially because the coupon books give them time to visit with us. Thanks for sharing and I hope your week is off to a great start. 🤗🎄☃️🎅❄️ #kindnessmatters
Great ideas! I gave a very large gift "basket" (it was a box) to my daughter's in-laws last Christmas. It had everything in it for a movie night, including movies, hot chocolate, cookies, popcorn, mugs, throw blankets, etc. I think they liked it! I like putting gifts like this together. Thanks! God Bless!!!!!
Great ideas! I do generally the same type, baking and spa gift baskets like you showed. But, I have a dear friend who is a scrapbook/card maker and I’ll put together a gift basket/box with things I know she uses, like adhesives, glue dots, foam tape, enamel dots, brads, etc. I really liked the idea for kids, haven’t done those before. Thanks!
Teacher here... I get at least 10 mugs a year... along with pens, chocolates and stationary. Those are the gifts we don’t want. I always donate them since I have no space. I’d rather people save their money, or get $5 gift cards for coffee. I do love when my kids write me letters. I have ALL of the ones given to me. So special!
Great ideas! I love to give gift baskets. My favorite to make are movie night, sweet n salty snacks, and hot chocolate/coffee baskets. I love the cookbooks that you found especially the children’s cookbook. What a great gift! BTW... I really like your hair color!!!
Dollar tree has been my savior in 2020. Money has been tight but we have been trying to make it work and this year we are having a homemade Christmas. Hand made gifts and I will definitely be using some of these gift ideas.
We have always made homemade ornaments. They don’t take up space and my family loves them. And you can definitely use dollar tree items. I think some of these baskets are great especially when you’re on a $10 and under budget. You can still make things look super cute.
So many mugs!! I work in a school with 70% free and reduced school lunch. Everytime I get any gift, I am so touched that a family with so little thought about me during the holidays. I love mugs and I will keep them for a year or 2 than give them to the kitchen at school, that way I can visit them at school.
Such cool ideas! I was thinking not just for holidays but because so many of us, especially kids stuck at home because of virus, these are excellent gift ideas! I already know several families who’s kids would love these boxes! Thank you! You are so innovative, Kristin!
Hi Kristin!! I love all of these. All are super cute. I'm an adult but buy me a few adult coloring books and markers and I'll be happy. Lol. Hope you have a great evening and week. Stay safe. God bless. PS yesssss I had gel pens it was one of the last gifts I got from my Nanny. She got me a kit of like 500 gel pens.
Yes girl, I had those gel pens too ! 1982 baby here Lol I still debate buying them every time I see them because I don't need them haha. Very cute ideas! 😍 TFS
Ditto to everyone's praise for your fabulous ideas--I love how you come up with your wonderful ideas. I just decided to make our family pets Christmas baskets--bowls, pet toys, dog leash or collar, dog treats etc. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great ideas I love making baskets not just for Christmas I’m actually putting a basket together for my niece who’s turning 10 in a few days with her favorite snacks
I gave a fun in the snow kit. It had items to make a snowman. Hat scarf, glasses, and buttons. I also placed hot chocolate and a chicken noodle soup pack to help warm up from the snow!
I'm a First Grade teacher. The gift I want more than any other is a Dollar Tree gift card. But I love anything they give me, especially if it comes with a note written by the child.
Omg Kristen thank you for sharing such wonderful ideas now I know what I’m doing for Christmas my daughter and son have everything so maybe food and movie baskets for them again thank you for sharing this you have a wonderful day ❤️🎄⛄️
Hi Kristin, WOW, some amazing ideas! So very thoughtful and so useful. Great ideas for sure. I totally agree with you on the tags. I would leave them on too. Just so the “recipients” know they are new! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful ideas.
Sooo cute!!! I love these! Most def doing the cutey basket with the cocoa cola lip smackers! Omg I loved those when I was a kid and they used to be so expensive! @@joolzg1936 me either Julie. But I started looking last week after seeing another diy’er found a cast iron cookbook there. Now I scour the books endlessly looking for cookbooks....

For instance, my son in law reads James Patterson books so every year I get him 2 new books and snacks to eat and drink while he eats. Then I put a couple of things in that he isn't expecting. Then for about 6 months I can catch him reading his books.
Totally agree with the in-between ages! My daughter is 11 and she’s halfway between a teenager and a little girl - she loves barbies and makeup at the same time!
Absolutely. Sometimes you can find some amazing items and name brand products at the dollar tree your baskets would look wayyyy more expensive then $10-15😊
These are such fabulous ideas! The one thing that I would add to your muffin baskets is the baking cups to line the muffin tins. As always, I love watching your videos! Thanks so much for sharing.
I used to collect novelty erasers when I was younger & my sister & brother thought I was so weird. I don’t know why that brought me so much nostalgia but I just remember loving them! These baskets are so cute & well thought out! Nice job!
I love the gift basket ideas. I will use three of your ideas for my neighbors. One neighbor has two boys the game night gift is great. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes to you and your family. You continue to stay safe and stay strong 💪!
These baskets were great!! I especially liked all the baking and cooking ones. I can never find those nice cookbooks at my dollar tree and it’s actually a big store.
I loved baking and cooking with my daughter when she was younger, she would lb d open up and talk freely all the way into her late teens. Now I do it with my son (ten year age difference). I have to look for that cook book.
I love these ideas. I’ve seen where some people wrap some of the items like cake box mixes to stay with the same color theme. I love Dollar Tree. Thank you for sharing. ❤️💚❤️💚
I love your mason jar yard sale finds. I would not give the dollar tree baking stuff unless it is to someone who would not already have better quality baking items. It would be good for a student going to college who likes to bake with mixes.
